La RAEHK es un mercado libre en el que, a excepción de las bebidas de
alto contenido alcohólico, no se aplican aranceles ni derechos de
importación a los productos alimenticios.
Procedimiento aplicado a los productos importados
Para la importación de cortes congelados de carne porcina es suficiente que
ingrese acompañada por un certificado emitido por autoridad competente
(en nuestro caso el SENASA), sin necesidad de intervención previa del
Food and Environmental Higiene Department de Hong Kong.
Este último organismo es el responsable de la implementación de las
medidas de seguridad alimentarias determinadas por el gobierno de la
RAEHK, para lo cual está autorizado a recoger y analizar muestras de la
carne ingresada a la región. También es la institución responsable de la
emisión de licencias de importación.

Con respecto a la posición 02032900, del análisis estadístico se observa
una leve disminución en la importación de otras carnes porcinas congeladas
(US$ 510.174.000) equivalente al -2,7% con respecto al año anterior.
Cabe destacar que los cortes que se encuentran habitualmente en este
mercado son: porkloin, tenderloin, pork fillet y baby back ribs.
