Notice of Correction to Rule Adoption
The commissioner of insurance recently adopted rules adding new 28 TAC §§1.208 - 1.210,
concerning TDI contact information. The adoption also amends 28 TAC §1.601, concerning
notice of toll-free numbers and information and complaint procedures, and 28 TAC §1.602,
concerning notice of Internet website.
The Texas Register published the adoption of new 28 TAC §§1.208 - 1.210, and the
amendments to 28 TAC §1.601 and §1.602 on May 29, 2015. On the same day, TDI filed a
Request for a Correction of Error to a Figure: 28 TAC §1.601(a)(3) that appeared in the Tables
and Graphics section at 40 TexReg 3203. The request for correction amends Number 7 in the
Spanish version of Figure: 28 TAC §1.601(a)(3) to add the word “usted” as a non-material
change to be consistent with the same sentence that appears in Figure: 28 TAC §1.602(b)(1)(B)
at Number 7.
The last sentence in Number 7 of Figure: 28 TAC §1.601(a)(3) will now read as:
7 DISPUTAS POR PRIMAS DE SEGUROS O RECLAMACIONES:
Si tiene una disputa relacionada con su prima de seguro o con una reclamación, usted debe comunicarse con
(el agente) (la compañía) (el agente o la compañía) primero. Si la disputa no es resuelta, usted puede
comunicarse con el Departamento de Seguros de Texas.
