Welcome to Uriah Hill Pre-Kindergarten, where we learn through play!
We have been very busy in Pre-K! We continue to learn about springtime, animals, and animal habitats.
“Radical Rob” from Mad Science came to teach us about worms! We learned how they move, what they
eat and how they help plants grow. We even got to take home our own worm! This month, we are
pretending to be seeds growing into flowers, caterpillars turning into butterflies and frogs emerging
from hibernation in our movement classes with Miss Elisha. We will have our graduation picture taken
on April 16th and a visit from Tea Town for the “Nature of Things” animal show on April 28th. We will
also welcome the Pre-Kindergarten class of 15/16 at our open-house on April 13th and 14th! In May, we
will begin learning about plants and their life cycle from seed, to plant, to flower and food. We will even
have our own classroom farm stands! We will also have a book fair on May 7th and 8th (along with
parent/teacher conferences) and our “Spring Sing-a-Long” on May 13th. Every day, we are reading,
discussing, drawing, counting, building and writing too! Come see our “Uriah Hill Reads” bulletin board
outside the main office! Ask us about the alphabet, how to write our name, how to count and sort, and
about all of the books we’ve read! Most of all, please keep reading and talking to us every day. Point
out colors, letters, and shapes, or ask us to find them. You’ll be surprised how much we know!

Bienvenido a Urías Hill Pre-Kindergarten, donde aprendemos a través del juego!
Hemos estado muy ocupados en Pre-K! Seguimos aprendiendo acerca la primavera, los animales y
hábitats de los animales. "Radical Rob" de Mad Science vino a enseñarnos acerca de los gusanos!
Aprendimos cómo se mueven, qué comen y cómo ayudan a las plantas a crecer. Incluso nos dieron para
llevar a casa nuestro propio gusano! Este mes, estamos pretendiendo ser semillas que crecen en las
flores, las orugas convirtiéndose en mariposas y ranas que salen de la hibernación en nuestras clases de
movimiento con la señorita Elisha.Vamos a tener nuestra foto de graduación tomada el 16 de abril y la
visita de Tea Town para la "naturaleza de las cosas" animal espectáculo el 28 de abril. También vamos a
dar la bienvenida a la clase Pre-Kindergarten de 15/16 en nuestra casa abierta el 13 y 14 de abril! En
mayo, vamos a empezar a aprender acerca de las plantas y su ciclo de vida a partir de semillas, sembrar,
para florecer y los alimentos. Incluso tendremos nuestros propios puestos de granja aula! También
tendremos una feria del libro, el 7 y 8 de mayo (junto con las conferencias de padres / maestros) y
nuestro "Spring Sing-a-Long" (Cantos de primavera) el 13 de mayo.Todos los días, estamos leyendo,
discutiendo, dibujo, contar, la construcción y la escritura también! Ven a ver nuestra "Urías Hill Lee"
tablón de anuncios fuera de la oficina principal! Haz una pregunta sobre el alfabeto, cómo escribir
nuestro nombre, cómo contar y clasificar, y sobre todo de los libros que hemos leído! Por encima de
