MI PERSONAJE ES… MARCELA BRIEF SUMMARY: Marcela is a non real character, but her story might be the same for many men and women persecuted by the Inquisi:on. She is smart and she comes from a family with economic resources, such as good lands and proper:es. However, Marcela is alone now because she lost her husband in the war. Sad but brave, Marcela tried to manage her heritage without having to marry again. One day, she was arrested by the Inquisi:on...Why was she accused? and especially, what will her des:ny be? -  Knowing medicinal plants

-  She lost her economic independence: FEAR
- She lost her freedom: FEAR
-  Finally, she is condemned to die
-  Feelings and thoughts different to Christian beliefs will be severely
persecuted. This kind of society tends to feel fears and this lack of freedom
will do more difficult to introduce changes and improvements in different
fields such as culture, science, philosophy, even music or architecture.
