Dinosaur Discovery: Descubrimiento de los Dinosaurios
How can we, as paleontologists, discover when and where dinosaurs lived?
¿Cómo podemos, como paleontólogos, aprender cuándo, dónde, y cómo vivían los
dinosaurios?
Kids of all ages are fascinated by dinosaurs. We will spend the month of June as
paleontologists, learning how dinosaurs lived, what they ate, where they lived, how they
survived (or didn’t) and why it is important to look to our past to gain knowledge and insights into
the world around us. Students will collaborate on a school wide mural, which will demonstrate
how dinosaurs may have lived.
During our Dinosaur Discovery, students will:
- Use scientific inquiry skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Earth’s environment
- Demonstrate geographic knowledge
- Think symbolically
- Remeber and connect experiences
- Participate cooperatively and constructively in group situations
- Recognize difference between living and non living things
