THAN OFFICES TO BE ELECTED
NOTIFICACIÓN DE QUE INSUFICIENTES CANDIDATOS
SE HAN REGISTRADO PARA EL CARGO
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to §10229 of the Elections Code of the State of
California relating to the General Municipal Election to be held in the City of Lakewood, on Tuesday,
March 3, 2015:
POR LA PRESENTE SE DA AVISO que de conformidad con la §10229 del Código de Electoral
del Estado de California relacionada con la Elección Municipal General la cual será conducida en la
Ciudad de Lakewood, que se habrá de llevar a cabo el martes, 3 de marzo de 2015:
As of the close of the nomination period on December 5, 2014, there are not more candidates
than offices to be elected.
Desde el cierre del período de nombramiento el 5 de deciembre de 2014, no existen más
candidates que cargos a elegir.
That §10229 of the Elections Code allows one of the following courses of action to be taken by
the City Council:
Que la §10229 del Código Electoral permite que el Concejo Municipal tome una de las siguientes
medidas:
1. Appoint to the office the person who has been nominated.
1. Designar para el cargo a la persona(s) quien ha(n) sido nominada(s).
2. Appoint to the office any eligible voter if no one has been nominated.
2. Designar para el cargo a cualquier votante elegible si nadie ha sido nominado.
3. Hold the election if either no one or only one person has been nominated.
3. Conducir una elección si nadie o solo una persona ha sido nominada.
The City Council will meet on December 16, 2014, to either make the appointment(s) or direct an
election to be held. The person(s) appointed, if any, shall qualify and take office and serve exactly as if
elected at a municipal election for the office.
El Concejo Municipal se reunirá el 16 de deciembre de 2014, para hacer el o los
nombramiento(s) o para ordenar que se lleve a cabo una elección. La(s) persona(s) nombrada(s), si es
que existe alguna, deberá estar facultada y asumir el cargo y ejercerlo exactamente de la misma manera
que si hubiera side elegida para el cargo en una elección municipal.
If, by the 75th day before the municipal election, no person has been appointed to the office(s)
pursuant to (1) or (2) above, the election shall be held.
Si, para el día septuagésimo quinto (75) antes de la elección municipal no se ha nombrado a
ninguna persona para el cargo o los cargos de conformidad con (1) y (2) más arriba, se llevará a cabo la
elección.
If the City Council makes an appointment pursuant to §10229 of the Elections Code, the City
Clerk shall not accept for filing any statement of write-in candidacy which is submitted after the
appointment is made.
Si, el Concejo Municipal realize el nombramiento de conformidad con la §10229 del Código de
Electoral, la Secretaria Municipal no aceptará la entrega de ninguna declaración de candidatura aňadida
que sea presentada después de haberse realizado el nombramiento.
