PRIZE MONEY POLICY DREAMHACK VALENCIA 2016
The following rules apply to all participants and they are not negotiable:
I. PRIZE MONEY GENERAL RULES
1.
The recipient of the prize money is the individual person or company, association or
non-profit organization that has registered for the specific tournament.
2.
The winner/s must be present at:
a.
The Prize Ceremony.
b.
Media interviews and connected photo-shoot.
II. PAYOUT POLICY
1.
Competition prizes must be claimed within 30 days after the event. After this time, all
rights to claim are lost.
2.
Prizes will be paid 90 days after receiving the invoice on day 15 or 30 of each month
should the invoice be issued by a firm, or will be paid 90 days after receiving all the documents
that individuals are requested.
3.
All prize money is paid in euros (€)
4.
Prizes are subject to Spanish regulations, and income tax will be deducted.
III. INVOICE POLICY
1.

2. The invoice must include all the firm’s tax details (name, address, postcode), including the
firm’s tax number.
3. The invoice shall have a due date 90 days from the time that the event ended.
4.
The invoice shall be marked with:
a. NAME OF TOURNAMENT STOP (i.e., Dreamhack Valencia 2016)
b. NAME OF TOURNAMENT AND PLACEMENT (i.e., League of Legends, PLACE 2)
5.
The invoice shall be issued in euros (€).
6. According to Spanish legislation, the amount of the prize is subject to the prepayment of the
tax (19%) to be deduced from the full amount. This must be reflected in the invoice.
7. The invoice shall contain bank information, including IBAN & SWIFT/BIC
IV. COMPANIES. NON-RESIDENT OF SPAIN

2. For invoices issued by firms in the EU, all the firm’s details shall be included (name,
address, postcode) and its VAT number.
3. For invoices issued by firms outside the EU, all the firm’s details shall be included (name,
address, postcode) and its Tax number.
4. The invoice must include this payment method: 90 days after the invoice is issued.
5. The invoice shall be marked with:
a. NAME OF TOURNAMENT STOP (i.e., Dreamhack Valencia 2016)
b. NAME OF TOURNAMENT AND PLACEMENT (i.e., League of Legends, PLACE 2)
6. The invoice shall be issued in euros (€).
7. According to Spanish legislation, the amount of the prize is subject to prepayment of the
non-residency tax currently in force (24%) to be deduced from the full amount. This must be
reflected in the invoice.
8. The invoice shall contain bank information, including IBAN & SWIFT/BIC
9. For overseas societies, there are international agreements with double taxation that impose
taxes in the state in which the beneficiary is a resident. To benefit from this agreement, the
documents certifying residency for tax purposes must be provided. They have to be valid for 1
year. This residency certificate must be issued by the corresponding tax authorities. It will not
be possible to benefit from the above-cited agreement if a residency permit is not provided.
Feria Valencia distinguishes between those who have a signed agreement to avoid double
taxation, therefore there is no obligation to make prepayments of non-resident taxes as long
as the residency tax certificate is provided, and those who have not signed this agreement,
who have to pay the corresponding tax. Therefore, it shall be necessary to request the
certifícate that you pay taxes in your country of residency from the tax authorities in your
country and to send the document to Feria Valencia by post or by registered mail.

2. The prize shall be paid in euros (€) and, according to Spanish legislation, is subject to 19%
income tax to be deducted from the total prize amount (if the amount exceeds €300,51)
3. The prize shall be paid 90 days after receiving all the documents required.
