JOIN THE PARTY AND VOTE IN THE MARCH 15, 2016 PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY ELECTION
The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is reminding voters to take advantage of their opportunity to join the political party of
their choice or to be a nonpartisan voter by casting a ballot in this election. In Ohio, the only method voters may utilize to
establish or change their party affiliation is by voting in a partisan primary election. People may choose to vote an issues only
ballot if they prefer to be considered a nonpartisan voter.
The ballot choices for voters are: Democrat, Republican, Green, Issues Only, and other.
Here is what is on the ballot for this important election: President of the United States, U.S. Senator and Congressional
Representatives, Ohio House & Senate candidates, County Prosecutor and County Council candidates, Ohio Supreme Court and
county judicial seats, Republican State and County Central Committee members, Green Party State and County Central
Committee members, the County Health and Human Services tax renewal, Municipal, township, and school levies
All registered voters may enjoy the convenience of voting by mail. Vote by Mail ballot applications are available at the Board of
Elections website: www.443VOTE.com, by calling the Board of Elections at 216-443-VOTE (8683), or visiting the Board of
Elections at 2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland. Ballot applications are also available at all public libraries.
Voters should check their voting information prior to each election. Voters may confirm their ward, precinct, and voting location

REGISTER TO VOTE IN THE MARCH 15th PRIMARY ELECTION
The deadline to register to vote is February 16th:
If you have moved, or changed your name, since you last voted you must
re-register to reflect your new address and/or your new name. After you
register you will get a card in the mail with your voting location, ward,
and precinct. Voter Registration Cards are available by calling 216-443-VOTE
(8683), at public libraries,and on the Board of Elections website:
www.443vote.com.
BEFORE EVERY ELECTION CHECK YOUR VOTING INFORMATION
Call 216-443-VOTE (8683) to check your voter registration status, voting location, ward, and precinct or visit the
Board of Elections website. Go to www.443VOTE.com, click on the “Voters” tab to check your information.
All registered voters may request a Vote by Mail ballot. Ballot
applications are available at public libraries, on the Board of Elections
website: www.443VOTE.com, or by calling 216-443-VOTE (8683)

Mailed ballot applications must be received by the Board of Elections by noon
on Saturday, March 12th.
Vote by Mail ballots must be postmarked on or before March 14th.
Vote by Mail ballots cannot be dropped off at a voting location. They must be
mailed or dropped off at the Board of Elections. If you have questions about

EARLY VOTING HOURS AT THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS:
Weekdays: February 17th through Friday March 4th, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: March 5th, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Weekdays: March 7th through Friday March 11th, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: March 12th, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

VOTE ON ELECTION DAY
The Polls are open for voting from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Bring identification:
A valid, state issued photo identification card or driver’s license, military
identification. A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government
check, paycheck, or other government document that shows your name
and current address.
