Pasadena Independent School District Intermediate Grades 7-8 Promotion Recovery Program Pasadena ISD Intermediate students (grades 7-8) are promoted to the next grade by maintaining an overall average of 70 or above in all courses taken. In addition, students must maintain an average of 70 or above in mathematics, reading/writing, science and social studies to be eligible for promotion. Students who do not maintain these standards must successfully complete the summer Promotion Recovery Program to be eligible for promotion. The 2011 summer Promotion Recovery Program is available to all intermediate students. Students may recover promotion for no more than two (2) classes. Students who fail to pass two or more core classes (math, science, reading/writing, social studies) will be retained in grade 8. Cash Only--no checks, cashiers checks, or money orders accepted. Tuition Refunds: 100% Refunds will be made through June 9. NO REFUNDS will be made after 3:30 PM on June 9. Registration: May 23-27 at student's home campus Late Registration: June 6; 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Bondy Intermediate Attendance: 100% attendance is required. Absences must be cleared with the program manager in ADVANCE of the absence. Consideration will be given only to emergency situations such as death in the immediate family. ALL ABSENCES must be made up--NO EXCEPTIONS. Court appearances are not considered emergencies and will not be considered as a valid excuse for an absence. Court appearances must be rescheduled in advance of the court date. Dress Code: ALL Pasadena ISD student code of conduct policies and procedures will apply to the summer school program. Inappropriate and/or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Any disciplinary action may result in the removal of the student from the program, forfeiture of the tuition costs, and promotion to grade 9 may be denied.
