Title VI
Notice to the Public
The City of Bellingham hereby gives public notice that it is the City's policy to assure full compliance
with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987,
and related statutes and regulations in all programs and activities. Title VI and related laws requires
that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin be excluded from the
participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any
Federal Aid Highway program or other activity for which the City of Bellingham receives Federal
financial assistance.
Any person who believes they have been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice under
Title VI has a right to file a formal complaint with the City of Bellingham. Any such complaint must be
in writing and filed with the City of Bellingham Public Works Title VI Coordinator within one hundred,
eighty (180) days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurrence. The Title VI
Complaint Procedures and Form may be obtained from the Title VI Specialist at no cost to the

Es la norma del Departamento de Obras Publicas de la Ciudad de Bellingham garantizar
que ninguna persona sea excluida de participar, ni que se le niegue beneficios, o de
cualquier manera sea discriminada bajo ninguno de sus programas y actividades
subvencionados federalmente, en base a su raza, color, origen nacional y sexo, tal como se
establece en el Título VI del Acta de Derechos Civiles de 1964. Cualquier persona que crea
que se ha violado su protección bajo el Título VI, puede presentar una queja ante la Oficina
de Oportunidades Iguales (OEO) de WSDOT. Para obtener formularios de reclamo y
