Voted «International Revelation:Solo Instrumentalist of the Year» at the
French Classical Music Awards (Victoires de la Musique) in 2006, the
argentinian pianist Marcela Roggeri has all the qualities of the great
argentine piano tradition, as well as the zest we associate with South
American artists.
Born in Buenos Aires, she studied first of all with Ana Gelber, then was
coached by Bruno Leonardo Gelber, who became her mentor.
Her recordings include the Complete works for two pianos by Aaron
Copland with Marcelo Bratke, "Pièces pour piano" d'Erik Satie, Domenico
Scarlatti "Piano sonatas", Soler ''Fandango and sonatas" and the "Complete
Works for piano solo" by Sofia Gubaidulina. She recenly recorded a CD
dedicated to Piazzolla with the soprano Magali Leger and a CD dedicated to
Guastavino with clarinettist Florent Héau for the label Transart Live.
Facundo Ramírez is a multifaceted artist (pianist, composer, actor and
theater director). He has shared his music with great Argentine and foreign
artists such as Mercedes Sosa, Susana Rinaldi and tenor José Carreras,
performing in major concert halls across Argentina, America and Europe,
including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Royal Festival Hall in
London, the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Kölner Philharmonie, the
Beethovensaal, Stuttgart, Bethlehem, Lisbon and the Teatro Colón in
Buenos Aires.
