Hilton Palacio del Rio Appoints Joseph Feldmann as Senior Sous Chef
SAN ANTONIO – January 17, 2014 – Zachry Hospitality today announced appointment of
Joseph Feldmann as Senior Sous Chef. He will manage food and beverage initiatives in
catering, in-room dining and the hotel's culinary operations including The River's Edge Cafe
and Patio Bar.
James Bocanegra, executive chef, Hilton Palacio del Rio, said, “We are excited to welcome
Joseph to the culinary team at Hilton Palacio del Rio. His creativity and passion for the
culinary arts will delight our guests." Feldmann brings 8 years of experience to his new role
at Hilton Palacio del Rio. In his former role at Piatti Éilan San Antonio Italian Restaurant, he
was responsible for brunch, lunch and dinner service.
Prior to Piatti Éilan, Feldmann worked as an executive chef at Sonny McLean's restaurant in
California where he developed new menus and specialty items including wine/beer/food
pairings, weekly specials, craft beer dinners, and catering events. Feldmann has also held
positions with Oceana Hotel in Santa Monica and Falcon Restaurant and Lounge in Los
Angeles. Feldmann earned his culinary arts degree from Glendale Community College in
Glendale, CA.
