Key Messages
Call Out Politicians: The reality is the politicians
who are trying to make it harder for you to vote are
the same ones behind strict immigration laws that
promote racial profiling and self-deportation. That’s
why it’s so critical that you register and vote on
Election Day.
Responsibility: I’m proud to be an American, and I
vote because I believe in our democracy. A lot of my
family, friends and people I work with vote because
it’s our civic duty to make things better. We can’t
complain about the way things are going if we don’t
take the responsibility to vote and stand up for what
we believe in.
Role Model: Voting is my civic duty, and it’s
something I do to show my country and my children
that I am proud to be an American. I vote for my
future, my children’s future, and America’s future.
Empowerment: Voting makes me feel empowered,
like I have some say in what happens to my family
and my community. Many people are struggling in
this economy, and I want to have a say in solving
these problems. If you don’t vote, you can’t complain.
Acknowledge Fraud: It’s important to stop fraud of
all kinds, but these new laws are not actually intended
to do that. The former Florida Republican Party
Chairman recently admitted that the Republican
Party secretly planned to pass voter restriction
laws that were specifically intended to keep some
Americans from voting.
Have Your Voice Heard: In order to participate in
our great democracy and have your voice heard,
every voter needs to understand the rules in their
state, register on time, and show up at the correct
polling place.

No dejes que se salgan con la suya: La realidad es que
los políticos quienes quieren restringir tu voto son los
mismos detrás de las estrictas leyes de inmigración
que promueven discriminación, racismo y el auto
deportación. Por eso es muy importante que te
registres para votar en estas elecciones.
Responsabilidad: Estoy orgulloso de ser americano
y por eso voy a votar, porque creo en nuestra
democracia. Mi familia, amigos y compañeros de
trabajo votan porque es nuestra obligación cívica
mejorar nuestra situación. No nos podemos quejar si
no nos educamos y tomamos acción para lograr lo que
creemos y queremos.
Ejemplo modelo: Votar es mi obligación y
responsabilidad cívica, lo hago para demostrarle a
mi país y a mis hijos lo orgulloso que estoy de ser
americano. Voto por mi futuro, el de mis hijos y el de
los Estados Unidos.
Tomar control: Ejercer mi derecho a votar me hace
sentir poderosa, como tengo control sobre las
decisiones que afectan a mi familia y comunidad.
Muchas personas están batallando en esta economía y
quiero hacer mi parte. Si no votamos no nos podemos
quejar después.
Denuncia el fraude: Es muy importante denunciar
fraudes de cualquier tipo, pero estas leyes no están
diseñadas para hacerlo. El ex presidente del Partido
Republicano de Florida recientemente admitió que
el Partido Republicano secretamente planeaba pasar
leyes que restringían al voto de ciertos americanos.
Levanta tu voz: Para participar en nuestra gran
democracia y ser escuchado, cada elector necesita
entender las reglas de votación de su estado,
registrarse para votar a tiempo y presentarse en su
centro de elección correspondiente.
