“Developing Knowledge and Skills to Maintain Lifelong Healthy and Active Lifestyles”
We are excited to announce that the GRAND TOTAL collected for the American Heart
Association “Jump Rope for Heart” campaign is $2,884.00!! This is a GREAT
ACCOMPLISHMENT as we have surpassed our goal of $1,500. The top 3 boy and girl
contributors will be recognized in a Jackson Elementary Royal Court Celebration
(King/Queen of Hearts, Prince/Princess, Duke/Duchess) that will be held on Friday, April
26, 2013. WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR DEDICATION AND
SUPPORT IN THIS ENDEAVOR!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
Estamos emocionados en anunciar que
nuestros estudiantes recaudadaron un
TOTAL de $2,884.00 para la Asociación Americana del Corazón y la campaña
de “Jump Rope for Heart”!! Este es un GRAN LOGRO siendo que nuestra meta
era de $1,500. Los 3 niños/niñas que obtuvieron las contribuciones mas altas
serán celebrados por medio de una celebración de Corte Real de la Escuela
Jackson Elementary (Rey/Reyna de Corazones, etc...). Esto se llevara acabo el

We are pleased to announce that Jackson Elementary has received a
Peaceful Playground Grant (via the Texas Valley PEP Grant). This grant
provides our school with playground equipment, ground stencils (various
designs), staff development for teachers/staff, and curriculum for a
STRUCTURED RECESS TIME! This comprehensive program
emphasizes in the development of academic, physical and social skills
through play at recess. The key purpose of the Peaceful Playground
Program is to provide a safe and peaceful place where students play,
learn and grow while utilizing conflict resolution strategies that will eliminate arguments, bullying and injuries.
Es un placer anunciarles que Jackson Elementary ha recibido un fondo/una beca
llamado Peaceful Playground (a través del Texas Valley PEP Grant). Estos fondos
le ofreceran a nuestra escuela equipo para jugar, plantillas de tierra (varios
diseños),entrenamiento para maestros y personal de escuela, y el curriculum
necesario para implementar un tiempo de recreo ESTRUCTURADO! Este
programa comprensivo se enfatiza en el desarrollo de habilidades académicas,
físicas y sociales a través del juego en el recreo. El objetivo fundamental del
Programa Peaceful Playground es proporcionar un lugar seguro y tranquilo, donde
los estudiantes juegen, aprendan y crescan mientras que utilizan estrategias de
resolución de conflictos que eliminarán argumentos, la intimidación y lesiones en
el recreo.
