Investiga la diabetes’10, jornada de divulgación científica CIBERDEM
El pasado 13 de noviembre CIBERDEM celebró con éxito su 3a jornada de divulgación científica en la
Casa de la Ciencia del CSIC en Sevilla. Nuestro agradecimiento a todos los investigadores que
desarrollaron y participaron en los talleres científicos, los cuales fueron claves para el evento.

CIBERDEM presente en Cuenca, Bilbao, Vic y Palma de Mallorca
Durante los meses de octubre y noviembre CIBERDEM realizó diferentes charlas con altos niveles de
asistencia y participación en varias ciudades con el fin de dar a conocer el trabajo que se está haciendo
dentro del consorcio y la iniciativa de fundraising «Investiga la diabetes»:

IMI 3rd Call
European Commission | Budget: € 114 million | Deadline: 18/01/2011
The Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) has officially launched its 3rd Call for proposals for new
methods of collaborative research in seven new areas of public health interest. For this Call, proposals
will focus on making advances in a number of important areas including "Development of Personalised
Medicine Approaches in Diabetes" (Topic 6). This new IMI 3rd Call for proposals has a total maximum
budget from the European Community of € 114 million with a matched ‘in kind’ contribution from the
European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA). Submissions of
Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 18 January 2011. More info
Albert Renold Travel Fellowships for Young Scientists
EFSD-MSD | Available throughout the year
This programme will enable young scientists to travel and stay at other institutions in order to learn
different scientific techniques related to diabetes research. Either the home or the host institution must
be based in Europe or an associated country. The duration of the stay cannot not exceed 3 months.

improvement" and set out many recommendations. These include: a "quantum leap" in simplification;
