So, it’s April. Already. That’s a hard fact to accept, but it’s a fact
notwithstanding. Traditionally, April is an extremely busy month in
education, and 2016 will be no different. Of course, our 3rd and 4th
grade students will begin their final preparations for the STAAR tests
in May. Obviously, kids get sick; we understand that. However, to the
extent possible, it is crucial that our kiddos attend school each and
every day. Lots of new learning takes place every day, particularly in
April and May. Believe it or not, your second grader (for example) is
pretty close to becoming a third
grader already!
Our goal for the remainder of the
year is not just to help your kids
finish this year on a strong note, but
to also help their transition to the
next grade as much as we can while
we have still them. And by the way,
thank you again for sharing your kids
with us! In my heart of hearts, I know
we have the best kids anywhere. It is
truly and honor and a joy to get to
work with them each day.

Bueno, ya es abril. Eso es algo difícil de creer, pero es cierto.
Tradicionalmente, abril es un mes muy ocupado en educación, y el
año 2016 no será la excepción. Por supuesto, los estudiantes de 3er y
4to grado empezaran su preparación final para los exámenes de
STAAR en mayo. Obviamente, los niños se enferman; eso lo
entendemos. Por favor, es muy importante que los niños asistan a la
escuela, hasta donde sea posible. Los estudiantes aprenden muchas
cosas nuevas todos los días, especialmente en abril y mayo. Créanlo o
no, su hijo de 2do grado (por ejemplo) está muy cerca de convertirse
en un estudiante de 3ro.
Nuestra meta para el resto del año escolar no es de solo ayudar a los
estudiantes a terminar el año bien, si no también ayudar con su
transición al siguiente grado lo más
que podamos mientras todavía están
en la escuela. ¡Por cierto, muchas
gracias por compartir a sus hijos con
nosotros! De corazón les digo que
tenemos los mejores estudiantes
que nadie. Es verdaderamente un
honor y alegría poder trabajar con
ellos cada día.

I am Mrs. Morales. I have taught for 14 years and of those years 10
have been here at Alice Ponder. I have taught 1st, Kindergarten, and
3rd grades. Now I am the bilingual reading specialist. I enjoy working
with all the students from grade levels and love teaching children
how to read.
I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two young
boys, Isaac and Julian. They keep us very busy. We are all very active in
our church, First Baptist Arlington. During my freetime I enjoy
running, yoga and just watching my boys play.

Soy la Sra. Morales. Ha ensenado por 14 años, 10 de esos años han
estado aquí en Alice Ponder. Ha ensenado clases de primero, kínder y
tercero. Ahora soy la especialista de lectura. Me encanta a trabajar con
todos los estudiantes de todos los grados. También me encanta a
ensenar a los estudiantes a leer.
Estoy casada y tenemos dos hijos que se llaman Isaac y Julian. Ellos
siempre nos tienen muy ocupados. Mi familia también están muy
activos en la iglesia de First Baptist Arlington. Durante mi tiempo libre
me encanta a correr, hacer yoga, y a ver a mis niños jugando.
