EL JUEZ ANTÔNIO AUGUSTO CANÇADO TRINDADE RECIBE
EL DOCTORADO HONORIS CAUSA DE LA UNIVERSIDAD
PANTEION DE ATENAS, GRECIA
El Juez Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade, de la Corte Internacional de
Justicia, Ex-Presidente de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos,
viene de recibir el Doctorado Honoris Causa de la Universidad Panteion de
Atenas, Grecia, en una ceremonia que tuvo lugar en Atenas, el 1er. de julio
de 2014. La Universidad
Panteion, una de las más
antiguas y prestigiosas
de Grecia, decidió por
unanimidad
otorgarle
este
título,
“como
reconocimiento,
de
parte de la comunidad
de jusinternacionalistas
griegos,
por
su
contribución en escala
mundial al desarrollo
del derecho internacional, su acción en pro de la promoción y protección de
los derechos humanos, así como de la consolidación de la justicia
internacional”.
La ceremonia fue impresionante, habiendo contado con la presencia de
jusinternacionalistas griegos de todo el país, incluyendo el ex-Presidente
del Institut de Droit International y el ex-Vice-Presidente de la Corte
Europea de Derechos Humanos.

THE DOCTORATE HONORIS CAUSA FROM THE UNIVERSITY
PANTEION OF ATHENS, GREECE
Judge Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade, of the International Court of
Justice, former President of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights,
has received the Doctorate Honoris Causa of the University Panteion of
Athens, Greece, in a ceremony that took place in Athens, last 1st July 2014.
The University Panteion, one of the oldest and most prestigious of Greece,
decided by unanimity to grant him this title “as a recognition, on the part of
the community of Greek international law jurists, for his world-wide
contribution
to
the
development
of
international law, his
action for the promotion
and protection of human
rights, as well as for the
consolidation
of
international justice”. The
ceremony
was
an
impressive one, having
counted on the presence
of Greek international
jurists from all over the country, including the former President of the
Institut de Droit International and the former Vice-President of the
European Court of Human Rights.
