We’re up to eleven and counting! Once again one of the most important and anticipated
events of the year for Quijotes+Dulcineas approaches. Not just because we get to share the
occasion here in Madrid with so many fellow Ultimate lovers, but because once again we’re
expecting the highest-level competition yet. Great teams with lots of level – a perfect
combination!

As a meeting point you’ll find us in Cervecería 100 Montaditos in
Diversia, you’ll find beers and tapas at good prices. Diversia is a
leisure center with lots of restaurants (web restaurants), so you’ll have
many options to choose from and know where to find us afterwards…
Saturday, April 9th
 8.30 – 9.30
Breakfast time if you are staying at the residence (in the cafeteria). You
won’t find any breakfast after 9.30h so it’s best to be on time!

7.30 – 11.00 Breakfast served at the Hotel.

9.30 – 18.00 Saturday games at Polideportivo José Caballero.

21.00
Dinner at Restaurante Esfera, 3 min waking from the hotel and 10 min
walking from the residence.

22:30-
The party continues in Tónica 90…
Sunday, April 10th
 8.30 – 9.30
Breakfast time if you are staying at the residence (in the cafeteria). You
won’t find any breakfast after 9.30h so it’s best to be on time!

7.30 – 10.00 Breakfast served at the Hotel.

9.30 – 15.45 Sunday games (Polideportivo José Caballero).


COMPETITION RULES
1. Games to 45 minutes or 13 points.
2. Cap: After 45 minutes, finish the point and if the game is tied or there is a
difference of one point, play cap 1.
3. Timeout: One per game, cannot be used in the cap.
4. Brick: 15 meters.
5. If two or more teams in the same group finish with the same record, the tie
breaker will be head-to-head record and then point difference.
6.
We’ll use thr WFDF 2013 rules.
7. Final will be played to 55 minutes or 13 points, depending on the availability of the
finalists, with cap 1 always.
Note: Teams are requested to help with scorekeeping. Please check the scorekeeping
schedule to see when it’s your turn.
GETTING TO ALCOBENDAS

Car: exit 17 off A1 (carretera de Burgos), coming from either direction.

Metro: The Metro Station La Moraleja on line 10 (dark blue) is right next to Diversia;
from there you can walk to the Polideportivo José Caballero (20 minutes, see map
below).

Bus: Buses run from Plaza Castilla in Madrid (metro lines 1, 9 and 10). Bus number
159 stops right in from of the Polideportivo.

From Atocha train station:

Option A: Metro Line 1. Atocha – Plaza Castilla + Bus 159 in Plaza Castilla to
the Polideportivo.
o
Option B: Metro Line 1. Atocha – Tribunal + Line 10 Tribunal – La Moraleja + 20
min walking.

From Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport:
o
Option A: Taxi: ~ 25 €
o
Option B (hotel only): transfer airport-hotel. Once you have your bags, you can
call 91-652-46-00 to set a meeting point in the arrivals terminal. The shuttle has
room for 8 people and costs 9 euros total until 22:00h. From 22:00 to 7:00 it costs
12 euros.
o
Option C: Metro + walking: Line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios + Line 10 to La Moraleja
+ 20 minutos walking
o
Option D (recommended): Autobús 827 (2,00 €). Aeropuerto – Alcobendas. See
further bus details at the end of this document. PLEASE NOTE: Bus 827 departs
from Terminal 4 of Barajas Airport (see the map below). There is a free shuttle
that runs between T1, T2, T3 and T4. The last bus on Friday leaves T4 at 23.23h.
You should get off at the Polideportivo stop, at the corner of Arroya de la Vega.
The stop is right in front of the Polideportivo José Caballero. The bus from the
airport to the Polideportivo (#827) is green.

OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION:

In the residences at the Polideportivo José Caballero bed sheets are provided, but
there are no towels. You may wish to bring a sleeping bag in case it gets cold.

There is plenty of parking in the lot behind the Polideportivo José Caballero and at the
Hotel.

The Madrid Metro closes at 1:30 h.

The fields are natural grass, so there’s no problem playing in cleats.

