FROM HERE
Because both a spaceship and
the moon are moving, engineers
need to aim the rocket at the
place where the moon will be
when it’s time to land. Try it!
Tape one end of a 24” string
to a ruler. Tie a small weight to
the other end (use a washer or
similar item). Put the ruler on
a table edge, with the string
hanging down. Hold in place
with a heavy book. Crumple
small pieces of paper into balls
and try to hit the weight.
Now swing the weight and try
to hit it again. What do you
need to do differently?

Debido a que tanto una nave
espacial como la luna se mueven,
los ingenieros deberán apuntar
el cohete hacia el lugar donde la
luna se encontrará cuando llega el
momento de aterrizar. ¡Pruébelo!
Pega un extremo de una cuerda
de 24” a una regla. Ata un peso
pequeño del otro extremo (utiliza
una arandela o un elemento
similar). Coloca la regla sobre
el borde de una mesa, con la
cuerda colgando. Mantén la regla
en su lugar con un libro pesado.
Arruga pequeños trozos de papel
en bolas y tratar de golpear
el peso.
Ahora imprímele un movimiento
pendular al peso y trata de
golpearlo de nuevo. ¿Qué es lo
que deberás hacer de manera
diferente?
