To dramacally improve the success of GCSE core and addional Science. To lead the newly recruited Science team to ensure outstanding provision for all students. To play a key role in the leadership of the Academy , working closely with other key leaders to drive up standards. Dues and Responsibilies: • • • • • • • To lead and manage the newly appointed team, including our new Assistant Director of Science to ensure outstanding provision for all students. To ensure high standards and expectaons are driven across the department. To ensure all the Science team plan, prepare and mark class work and homework for all classes according to Academy policy, ensuring all students make at least good progress and are engaged in their learning. To create a smulang and encouraging environment across the department where students are keen to learn. To work to promote Science as a highly valued and popular subject, which is also a good opon choice for study in the 6th Form. To demonstrate high ambion, high expectaons and drive in your role at all mes. To contribute to the wider life of the Academy through acng as a Form Tutor and ensuring a vibrant enrichment programme within Science.
