Consolad a mi pueblo, dice vuestro Dios;
habladle cariñosamente a Jerusalén,
y anunciadle que su lucha ha terminado,
que sus faltas le han sido perdonadas.
Una voz clama en el desierto:
Preparad el camino al Señor,
allanad en el desierto una calzada para nuestro Dios.
1-4. CORO (Isaías 40:5)
Y la gloria del Señor será revelada y todos los humanos juntos la verán, porque la boca del Señor lo ha dicho.
1-8. RECITATIVO - Alto (Isaías 7:14 · Mateo 1:23)
Mirad, una virgen concebirá y dará a luz un hijo, y le llamará Emmanuel:
“Dios con nosotros”.

Tú que traes buenas nuevas a Sion, sube a un monte alto;
Tú que traes buenas nuevas a Jerusalén, alza tu voz con fuerza,

Porque para nosotros un niño ha nacido, un Hijo se nos ha dado,
y llevará el gobierno sobre sus hombros,
y será llamado Admirable, Consejero, Dios Todopoderoso,
Padre eterno, Príncipe de la Paz.

Había unos pastores que estaban en el campo vigilando su rebaño por la noche.
Y he aquí que el Ángel del Señor vino a ellos,
y la gloria del Señor brilló a su alrededor, y ellos tuvieron gran temor.
Y el Ángel les dijo:
“No tengáis miedo, porque, mirad, os traigo la buena nueva de una gran alegría para todos los pueblos.
Para vosotros ha nacido hoy en la ciudad de David un Salvador que es Cristo, el Señor”.
Y de pronto, en torno al Ángel apareció una multitud de ángeles celestiales alabando a Dios y diciendo:

Entonces los ojos de los ciegos serán abiertos, y los oídos de los sordos destapados,
saltará el cojo como un ciervo, y la lengua del mudo cantará.

Él alimentará a su rebaño como un pastor,
recogerá a las ovejas con sus brazos y las llevará en su regazo,
y guiará amorosamente a las que hayan parido.

SEGUNDA PARTE - Ministerio y Pasión de Cristo

Él fue despreciado y rechazado por los hombres,
un hombre lleno de dolor y acostumbrado a sufrir.
Él ofreció Su espalda a los que le azotaban

Vuestro rechazo ha roto Su corazón; Él está lleno de pesar;
buscó quien tuviera compasión de Él, y no había nadie;
tampoco encontró quien le consolara.

Si Dios está con nosotros, ¿quién puede estar en nuestra contra?
¿Quién acusará a los elegidos de Dios? Dios es quien los justifica.
¿Quién será el que los condene?
Es Cristo, quien murió y, más aún, resucitó,
y está a la derecha de Dios, quien intercede por nosotros.

Digno es el Cordero que fue sacrificado
y nos redimió ante Dios con su sangre
