Fr. Fitz will preside at a Mass in church for Ministers
and Ministries. The Mass will be followed by light
refreshments in the Mission House Basement (until
12 Noon). This Mass and socialization opportunity is to allow all those adults involved in liturgical,
education and service ministries to celebrate Christ
in their lives, acknowledge their important services
to the Church and parish, and to enhance services
through prayer, collegiality and collaboration.

MUSIC AT THE GATE NEWS
Mark your calendars for the next "Music at the Gate"
Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 7pm
"Unto us a child is born" will be a concert of Music
for Advent and Christmas performed by
chorus, orchestra and soloists.
Look for more information in the coming weeks.
We are pleased that our SMGH Inaugural Welcoming Event was a well conceived and received parish event. The theme
was: “Welcome Home” and the objectives outlined were to: 1) encourage Parish and ministry leaders to collaborate in
welcoming new parishioners via example, caring and involvement. 2) represent and support ALL our diverse, faithful,
and unique members with patience and inclusion in our ONE home. The Welcome Committe indeed accomplished
this. This event was well thought out, and many concerted steps were taken to make new parishioners feel welcomed,
and to include our ministry leaders.
The Welcoming Committee Members have been working on this and many other things, including but not limited to:
a parish/ministry handbook, bilingual rosary prayer book, ministry interest forms, revised parish registration form and
welcoming process, and other welcoming gestures to include new parishioners and coordinate with existing parish
ministries. There is much to anticipate and be excited about! We thank the committee for all their hard work
and congratulate them on the success of the Welcoming Event.

St. Mary Gate of Heaven parishioners support our
Food Pantry that feeds 55 - 60 families (that’s over
150 people)with enough food for 3 days every other
week. We are putting together Thanksgiving baskets and are collecting the following foods:

The Ozone Park Senior Center, located in the Church Basement, will be serving Thanksgiving Dinner on Thanksgiving Day, November 26th from 10 AM to 2 PM. They
will have their usual delicious dinner and music. Don’t be
alone on the holiday, bring a friend and join them.
EL CENTRO DE CIUDADANOS MAYORES DE
OZONE PARK, ubicado en el sótano del templo,
ofrecerá un almuerzo en acción de gracias el Día de la
Acción de Gracias, el 26 de noviembre de las 10 am
