Hypothetical Situations
The imperfect subjunctive is used for the
“if” portion of the sentence
The conditional is used for what one
would do if that situation occurred.
Si tuviera una piscina, nadaría todos los días.
– If I had a pool, I would swim everyday.
– Or flip it …Nadaría todos los días si tuviera una piscina.
