Soy Evelia Carrillo, estudiante de Protégé 2013 graduada de un grupo de 21 Estudiantes.
Protege hiso muchos cambies en mi vida, me siento mas profesional una mujer exitosa y me hiso una
mejor maestra capaz de ofrecer mejores prácticas en los niños y dejar una huella positiva en la vida de
ellos porque su futuro está basado en sus primeros años de vida y quiero seguir contribuyendo y crear
de ellos una mejor sociedad formando mejores individuos, mejores seres humanos, con nuevas
alternativas sin miedo al cambio asumiendo retos llenos de valores, amor y respeto por el otro.
Como mujer soy afortunada de ser madre de 4 hijos, el mayor José Juan Carrillo de 18 años de edad
tiene pérdida de audición de nacimiento del cual nos enteramos a la edad de 2 años, el proceso de
aceptación fue difícil pero con el paso del tiempo fuimos buscando y encontrando información de cómo
ayudarle, fue que tuve la necesidad de aprender el lenguaje de señas para poder comunícame con él y
por medio de mis experiencias me di cuenta de la enorme necesidad que tienen las personas con
pérdida de audición. Desde ese momento mi meta ha sido profundizar y seguir estudiando el lenguaje
de señas haciendo de ello una práctica de corazón para ayudar a mi hijo a salir adelante.
En Enero del 2015 obtuve mi CDA, expandí mi negocio de un home Day care a un Child Care Group y
ahora abro las puertas de mi programa a niños con necesidades especiales, especial mente a niños con
pérdida de audición. Les invito proveedoras que también abran sus programas para la incluirían de estos
niños de pérdida de audición que a nuestros niño les enseños a valorar, respetar, e incluir a niños y
personas con necesidades especiales, Profundicemos y eduquémonos en estas necesidades tan valiosas.
I am Evelia Carrillo, student from Protégé graduated 2013 from a class of 21 students.
Protégé impacted my life in many ways. I now feel like a more professional and successful woman. It
also made me a better teacher, I am now able to offer better teachings to children. I could impact the
children’s lives in positive forms. Their futures are based off of their early years of life. I want to
continue building with them in order to create a better society made up of better individuals, better
human beings, human beings which have new alternatives. They should not be afraid, but in the
contrary they should strive to fulfill the challenge of learning to value, love, and respect one another.
As a woman I am fortunate of being mother to four children. The eldest being Jose Juan Carrillo who is
18 years of age, he has had loss of hearing since birth which I found out about when Jose turned two.
The process of acceptance was quite hard, but within time we looked and found many information on
how to help him. I then had the need to learn how to speak sign language to be able to communicate
with him. Through my experiences I realized the huge necessity that people with loss of hearing have,
from that moment on my goal has been to deepen my understanding and continue studying sign
language, making it a practice from the heart to help my child succeed and go on doing great things with
his life.
On January of the year 2015 I obtained my CDA, I expanded my business from a home daycare to a Child
Care Group and I now open the doors to children with disabilities, but especially to those with loss of
hearing. I invite other providers to expand their programs as well in order to include kids with loss of
hearing and other disabilities, we should show the rest of our children to value, respect, and include
people with special necessities. We should deepen and teach these necessary and valuable morals.
