Call us 24 hours prior to your ride if:
 There is going to be a different pick-up or drop-off location, other than the one scheduled.
(If we are not contacted about the change your child will be dropped off at the originally scheduled location).
 Your child is going to ride only one way.
 There are any changes in your child’s schedule.
You must call the DISPATCH OFFICE to change the pick-up or drop-off location or time.

Fare and Punch Card Option:
Fare is $1.50 each way.
Youth punch Card $16.00 for 20 punches (20 one way trips)
Monthly Pass $27.00 Unlimited rides per month.

Punch Cards must be purchased from the bus.
 When paying cash, you must have the correct amount our drivers will not make change.
Without a punch card city rides are $1.50 each time your child boards the bus.
Wait Time:
Bus will wait three minutes for pick-up
Pick-up and Drop-off
We have many schedules to meet. We will be scheduling pick-up times to enable us to meet everyone’s needs. If the scheduled
person is not there for pickup we will not return to the same location. Please be watching for your ride 10 minutes prior to pick up
time.
Seating capacity is limited.
Prairie Five RIDES will arrange rides on a first come first serve basis.

PRAIRIE FIVE RIDES POLICY AND RULES
Prairie Five CAC, Inc. does not refuse rides based on age, race, color, creed, religion, disability,
national origin, sex or status about public assistance. Prairie Five RIDES bus drivers may refuse
transportation to any individual or group of individuals who could imperil the safety of other
passengers and themselves or the comfort of other passengers.
The following rules are applicable when transporting children:

Children must be seated and secured when the bus is in motion.
There will be no fighting.
Throwing of objects is prohibited.
Children are not allowed to open windows.
If windows are open, children are not to throw objects from the bus or hang arms
and head outside the window of the bus.
The bus driver has the authority to refuse service to a passenger. Any rider who abuses the
privilege of using the RIDES Transit System may be placed on a probationary period. The
probationary period shall be one week off the transit system for the first offense, two weeks
off the transit system for the second offense, no further rides after the third offense. Prairie
Five RIDES reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who violates any of the above
mentioned standards. The decision to refuse service will be made by the bus driver and/or
transit office staff. Parents shall be notified of the refusal of service
In the event someone is permanently refused bus service, there will be no refunds for fares or
passes.
