Sinopsis: En el bochorno del verano florentino un hombre joven golpea su saco
de boxeo una y otra vez. Su rostro es una máscara de sudor y furia. Este hombre
es un italiano común y corriente sin embargo, en la existencia aparentemente
rutinaria de este joven italiano hay un momento en que puede tocar con sus
manos el sueño del éxito: en las fuentes de Florencia se celebra el torneo anual
del Calcio Storico, uno de los deportes más antiguos que se practican hasta el
día de hoy, donde la regla más importante es que no hay reglas. La única misión
es salir vivo de la arena y ganarse el honor y el respeto de los demás. Para ellos,
enfrentarse al peligro de la pelea es la única manera de sentirse vivos. Ante el
deseo de ser reconocidos y admirados por un día, nada es un obstáculo.
Synopsis: In the heat of the florentine summer a young man punches his boxing
sack over and over. His face is a mask of sweat and fury. This man is a regular
italian, However, in the midst of this young italian’s routinely life there is a moment
in which he can touch with his own hands the dream of success. The yearly Calcio
Storico tournament is taking place; one of the oldest sports practiced in today’s day
and age where the most important rule is there are no rules. The only mission is to
make it out of the arena alive and win the honor and respect of the rest. For them,
facing the danger of the fight is the only way to feel alive; in the journey of being
recognized and admired for a day, nothing is an obstacle.
Pierluigi Capoluongo
Estudia filosofía estética en la Universidad
Estatal de Milán. Vive unos años entre Grecia
y España, en donde realiza algunos trabajos
audiovisuales independientes. En 2012
consigue ingresar en la Escuela Internacional de
Cine y TV de San Antonio de los Baños Cuba en
la especialidad de Documental. Este proyecto
es su ópera prima.
(Italia, 1983) Studied aesthetic philosophy at
the National University of Milan, Italy. In 2012,
he joined the International Film and Television
School , San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba in
the department of Documentary, where he
has directed short documentaries, such as,
Vertedero Social Club, La Teja de Zinc, y Solar
Sol. Currently in the development stages of his
first feature length documentary.
