Abstract: This presentation focuses on what it means to translate psychological science to the public, why
this should be done, and what should be translated. Attention then is paid to the question of to whom we
should translate our science to and who should be doing the translation. Current and state-of-the-art strategies for sharing the psychological science base with the public are offered. Critical barriers to the translation
of science to the public are acknowledged. Recommendations for effective and optimal translation of psychological science for the public are shared.
