Alain Henry Steegmans LA PERLA NEGRA: A tribute to Frida Kahlo “Facing the tragedies that life brings us and embracing them as a present” (Lita Cabellut). One can never stop the natural process of life that often comes with physical affliction, but misery is never a fatality. Lita Cabellut symbolically chose to deliver her message through the broken body of Frida Kahlo, at a moment when the human faith and mind reflect on the cracked bones. This is the time when one must accept the breaking of their own body in order to give oneself a chance to rebuild and reborn. This is the time when the incredible strength of the human being shines through the darkness that life can sometimes bring. Frida Kahlo is the ultimate symbol of death and life. Above all, she is the symbol of the space that lies in between the two: the space where the human being leaves a definitive testimony if his existence. ! ! ! 134 New Bond Street .
