Carmen: Hola amigos, ¿qué tal estáis? Mark, ¿qué tal
todo?
Mark:
Muy bien, muchas gracias, Carmen, ¿y tú? ¿Qué
tal?
Carmen: Muy bien, gracias.
Mark:
Bueno, bienvenidos a esta cuarta temporada de
Coffee Break Spanish. Estamos de vuelta con
temporada (f)

Mark:
Sí, os presento a Carmen.
Carmen: Hola amigos, soy Carmen. Soy de Cuenca, una
pequeña ciudad del centro de España, que
probablemente no conozcáis pero es muy
famosa por tener las casas colgadas y también
por ser tierra de muy buena comida.
Mark:
Muy buena comida, sí y bueno, un acento
bastante regular.
Carmen: Sí.
Mark:
No es un acento muy complicado.

Carmen: Sí. Llevo aquí ya tres años en Escocia. Hace un
poco de frío pero bueno lo llevo bien, lo llevo
bien. Y nada, estoy aquí para ayudaros con
lo llevo bien

So we’ve got Rory and we’ve got María and the

friend, so definitely a different accent there for us
to think about. And they will all be spending the
summer together in Mallorca, the Balearic island
of Mallorca, off the coast of Spain. Now, the

our courses but particularly this one, is that you
are going to be getting really involved in this
story. You’re going to be following the story and
wanting to know what happens each week with
the story but also at the same time you’re going
to be getting to know lots of new expressions,
new grammar and new vocabulary and you’ll
build your confidence in speaking and
understanding Spanish very quickly with this
course.
Carmen: Exacto, Mark y lo que queremos a través de esta
historia es ayudaros a aumentar vuestro
vocabulario con nuevas palabras y nuevas
expresiones. También queremos ampliar
vuestros conocimientos gramaticales que ya
sabemos que la gramática española siempre es
un poquito “challenging”, y queremos ayudaros a
