Comfort: Local anesthesia ensures patient comfort during treatment. In a clinical study, patients rated
the procedure comfortable with a score of 2.1, on a scale of 1 (no pain) to 10 (worst pain).
After treatment: Erythema and edema in, and possibly slightly beyond, the treated area are common
and often indicative of an effective treatment. For some patients, significant swelling in the treatment
area can create a bumpy appearance. Underarms may be tender to the touch for a few days to a week.
