Hi! My name is Nicholas. I’m fourteen years old and I live in the USA. My parents work as scientists. I have an older brother,
David and a twin sister Penny. We are very close. After school we have a quick snack and then usually talk for a while. If one of
us needs help with homework we can always ask the other. David is good at Computers, Science and Design. We always have
fun outside climbing trees and playing in the forest. In contrast, Penny likes playing inside with her dolls. She is a very good
student, especially at Maths. As for myself, I love language classes and also History, as well as reading and writing.
After school every Tuesday I go to the Youth Club with Laura, one of my closest friends, and with Penny, to teach other children.
We really enjoy being volunteers and helping other kids with their homework. I like to do this sort of activity because it gives
me experience, you learn a lot and you are never bored.
We also have the “underground café” where a lot of friends meet after football or basketball games. The other volunteers bring
free pizza and drinks to share. It’s always fun and I love it.
