- Ordinal numbers to retell a story’s sequence of events.
- Temperature concepts and identify cold and hot items/situations.
This week, we will be learning about ordinal
numbers: first, second, third, fourth and fifth.
(Primero, segundo, tercero, cuarto y quinto) We
will use them while we retell stories that we read
in class.
We will also explore the concepts of hot and cold.
The students will get to experiment with and sort
items according to their temperature.
We will study the letter I, i. In Spanish, the letter
I sounds like the letter E in the word ‘be.’
Please remember to return all folders. The red
John R. Williams folder will go home every Wed. The
other folder will go home every day with students’
work or homework when we start assigning it.
Also, if you have not already done so, please return
the completed library contract so your child can
keep his/her book at home when we go back to the
library (on Friday). In addition, if there are any
papers that you have not returned yet please do
so. They are now overdue. Thanks!

Esta semana aprenderemos sobre los números
ordinales: primero, segundo, tercero, cuarto y
quinto. Los usaremos para recontar historias que
leemos en clases.
También estudiaremos los conceptos de frío y
caliente. Los estudiantes experimentarán con
diferentes objetos y los clasificarán de acuerdo a
su temperatura.
Estudiaremos la letra I,i. En Español, la letra I
suena como la letra E en la palabra ‘be’ en Inglés.
Por favor recuerde devolver todas las carpetas.
Las carpetas rojas de John R. Williams irán a casa
cada miércoles. La otra carpeta irá a casa cada
día con los papeles de los niños o las tareas cuando
comenzemos a enviarlas.
Si todavía no ha enviado el permiso para que su
hijo/a use la biblioteca por favor hágalo a la
brevedad. Si hay cualquiera de los otros papeles
que fueron enviados al comienzo del año que usted
no ha entregado por favor enviélos. Ahora están
