El doblemente oscarizado Kevin Spacey
(por American Beauty y Sospechosos habituales) se ha propuesto conquistar las
audiencias televisivas. Dirigido por David
Fincher (Seven y La red social) encarnará a
Frank Underwood, corrupto y despiadado
congresista conservador que aspira a conquistar la presidencia de Estados Unidos.
Será en House of Cards, serie con cien millones de dólares de presupuesto, remake
de la producida por la BBC en 1990.
El carismático Spacey lo tiene claro:

Beauty and The usual suspects) has set himself the goal of conquering TV audiences. Directed by David
Fincher (Seven and The Social Network),
he will be playing Frank Underwood, a
corrupt, merciless Conservative congressman aspiring to the presidency of
the United States. It will be in House
of Cards, a remake of the BBC’s 1990
production with a budget of a hundred
million dollars.
The charismatic Spacey is clear on one
thing: “I did films when that medium was
the king of drama, but now the focus is
on television”.

hotel has been conferred the “Best Of Wine
Tourism” award.

La bodega, construida en
piedra de sillería y mampostería en la segunda
mitad del XIX, se convirtió en 1990 en un
magnético destino del
turismo enológico, gracias a su rehabilitación
como hotel. Las 12 habitaciones más la suite
Tempranillo se inspiran
en variedades de uvas
diferentes.
Remata la tentación
de semejante escenario el
restaurante Cosme Palacio,
situado sobre los depósitos
originales de la bodega. Desde
la sala se pueden ver sus entrañas mientras se degustan
la gastronomía local más sugerente y los mejores vinos.
El hotel ha sido galardonado con el premio Best Of
Turismo Vinícola, una especie de Oscar del sector. Lo
otorga la Red Mundial de
Grandes Ciudades y Grandes Viñedos (Great Wine
Capitals). Bodegas Palacio pertenece al grupo
Hijos de Antonio Barceló, con bodegas en
otras denominaciones
como Ribera del Duero (Viña Mayor); Toro
(Bodegas y Viñedos
Anzil) y Rueda (Caserío de Dueñas).

Laguardia, located in La Rioja,

culture. Its walls embrace the

bouquet. Bodegas Palacio, situated in the heart of the village and almost 120 years’ old,

The winery –a masonry construction built in the second half
of the 19th century– became
an appealing wine destination
in 1990 after it was refurbished
into a hotel. The design of all 12
rooms and the Tempranillo suite
are inspired by different grape
varieties. Such a magnificent
stage is crowned by the Cosme
Palacio restaurant, located in the
winery’s original warehouses.
The heart of the winery can
be seen from the dining-room
where the most enticing local
cuisine and the best wines can
be enjoyed.
The hotel has been conferred
the “Best Of Wine Tourism”
award, some sort of Oscar
award in the industry. It is
granted by the Great Wine
Capitals Global Network. Bodegas Palacio, owned by Hijos

has wine cellars in other denominations of origin: Ribera
