Un artista estaba pintando una escena de invierno. La nieve cubría el suelo y los pinos. Caía la
noche y el paisaje estaba envuelto en una semi oscuridad. Una cabaña apenas se veía en las
sombras. La escena completa era sombría.
Entonces el artista usó unos tintes amarillos para poner el brillo alegre de una lámpara en una
de las ventanas de la cabaña. Esa luz solitaria, con sus rayos dorados que se reflejaban sobre
la nieve, transformaron completamente la impresión dada por la pintura. En contraste con la fría
oscuridad del bosque que la rodeaba, aquella luz en la ventana creó una cálida sensación de
amor y seguridad.
¿Qué significa andar en la oscuridad?
porque hemos dado la espalda a Dios.
La Biblia dice que vivimos en medio de la oscuridad
"No hay un solo justo, ni siquiera uno; no hay nadie que entienda, nadie que busque a
Dios. Todos se han descarriado, a una se han corrompido. No hay nadie que haga lo
bueno;
¡no hay uno solo!" Romanos 3:10-12
Para librar al hombre del pecado mandó a su Hijo Jesucristo para que viviera con nosotros en
medio de un mundo de oscuridad.
"Yo soy la luz del mundo; el que me sigue no andará en tinieblas, sino que tendrá la luz
de la vida." Juan 8:12

¿Por qué podemos creer que Cristo es verdaderamente el Hijo de Dios?
Porque en su vida se cumplen las profecías que encontramos en el Antiguo Testamento. Por
ejemplo:
- Isaías que vivió entre 600 Y 700 años antes de Cristo dijo:
"He aquí que la virgen concebirá y dará a luz un hijo, y llamará su nombre Emanuel."
Isaías 7:14
- Miqueas que vivió también 700 años antes de Cristo dijo:
" Pero tú, oh Belén Efrata, aunque eres pequeña entre las familias de Judá, de ti me
saldrá el que será el gobernante de Israel, cuyo origen es antiguo, desde los días de la
eternidad." Miqueas 5:2
Su vida y obra son un ejemplo para todos nosotros, y aparecen relatadas en la Biblia, que es
digna de toda confianza ya que los relatos que encontramos sobre Cristo fueron escritos por
personas próximas a É.
Pero si sólo hubiese sido un gran hombre, no sería más que un personaje histórico más como
Gandi.
Lo que hace a Cristo tan especial para nosotros es su muerte. Gracias a su muerte podemos
tener otra vez relación con Dios Y tener esperanza después de la muerte.

"Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado a su Hijo unigénito, para que
todo aquel que en él cree no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna. Porque Dios no envió a su
Hijo al mundo para condenar al mundo, sino para que el mundo sea salvo por." Juan
3:16,17
Nuestra fe no sólo se basa en su muerte sino también por su resurrección. Porque el venció a
la muerte, tenemos fe en que nosotros también resucitaremos con Él.
“aun estando nosotros muertos en delitos, nos dio vida juntamente con Cristo. ¡Por
gracia sois salvos! Y juntamente con Cristo Jesús, nos resucitó” Efesios 2:5-6
Esta es la razón por la que los cristianos celebramos de una forma tan especial la Navidad:
Porque el nacimiento de Cristo significa la llegada de la Luz al mundo perdido.
