Francisco Moreno
Originating from Puebla, México. I’m Chemist and Molecular
Biologist, graduated from the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the
Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla; I got the degree
of Master in Microbiological Sciences, in microbial Biochemistry
and Genetics in 2004. I’m a rock climber and amateur
astronomer; also I’m very passionate of cacti, African succulents
and insectivore plants. I started to propagate these beautiful
plants in 1990, and I still remember that the first succulent plants
that I bought were an Astrophytum asterias and a Lithops julii .
From 1990 to date I have raised and propagated cacti from the
genera: Ariocarpus, Mammillaria, Ferocactus, Stenocactus,
Turbinicarpus,
Thelocactus,
Astrophytum,
Echinocactus,
Echinocereus, Notocactus, Copiapoa, Blosffeldia, Strombocactus,
Frailea y Pelecyphora. And also African succulents of the genera:
Haworthia, Lithops, Dintheranthus, Stomatium, Argyroderma, Gibbaeum, Euphorbia, Titanopsis,
Conophytum, Alloinopsis, Fenestraria and Aloe. I enjoy a lot camping and trekking in the mountain
ranges and nature, I dislike cities.

Originario de Puebla, México, Químico y Biólogo Molecular, graduado de la Facultad de Ciencias
Químicas de la Benémerita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla en 2001 y obtuve el grado de Maestro
en Ciencias Microbiológicas en Bioquímica y Génetica Microbiana en 2004, soy escalador en roca y
astrónomo amateur, me apasionan los cactus, suculentas africanas y plantas insectívoras, empecé a
reproducir estas hermosas plantas desde 1990, recuerdo que las primeras 2 suculentas que compre
fueron un Astrophytum asterias y un Lithops julii.
De 1990 a la fecha he manejado y propagado cactáceas de los géneros: Ariocarpus, Mammillaria,
Ferocactus, Stenocactus, Turbinicarpus, Thelocactus, Astrophytum, Echinocactus, Echinocereus,
Notocactus, Copiapoa, Blosffeldia, Strombocactus, Frailea y Pelecyphora. Así como suculentas
africanas de los géneros: Haworthia, Lithops, Dintheranthus, Stomatium, Argyroderma, Gibbaeum,
Euphorbia, Titanopsis, Conophytum, Alloinopsis, Fenestraria y Aloe. Disfruto mucho de acampar y
recorrer las sierras y la naturaleza, me desagradan las ciudades.
