English/Spanish Translation of Student Bus Rules
STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW THE SAFETY RULES AND PROGRAM
GUIDELINES LISTED BELOW
SE ESPERA QUE LOS ESTUDIANTES SIGAN LAS REGLAS DE SEGURIDAD Y LAS
GUIAS DEL PROGRAMA QUE SE INDICAN A CONTINUACIÓN:
1. Wait for permission before
boarding/departing the bus.
2. Students should be at the bus no later
than 5 minutes before departure.
3. Remain seated at all times; face the
front of the bus; keep the aisle and
emergency exits clear of arms, legs,
backpacks, etc.
4. Keep head, hands and feet inside the
bus at all times.
5. Maintain a "conversational" tone - avoid
shouting, screaming, etc.
6. Students shall not throw objects inside
the bus or out of the windows.
7. Students shall refrain from eating,
drinking or chewing gum on the bus.
8. Students shall refrain from littering,
graffiti or other dirty or destructive
activities such as spitting on others, on
the bus or out of the windows
9. Students shall not smoke or use
tobacco on the bus.
10. Students are expected to refrain
from profane and/or obscene language
and/or gestures.
11. Weapons and/or tools or other
objects that could be used as weapons are
not permitted on the bus.
12. Fighting on the bus or at the bus stop
is not permitted.
13. Harassment of any kind (verbal,
sexual, physical, etc.) is not permitted.
1. Esperar a que se le dé permiso de subir
y bajar el autobús.
2. Llegar a la parada del autobús
solamente 5 minutos antes.
3. Permanecer sentado en todo momento,
mirando hacia adelante, mantener los pies,
manos, mochilas etc., apartados de los
pasillos y salidas de emergencia.
4. Mantener la cabeza, manos y pies
adentro del autobús en todo momento.
5. Mantener un tono de voz a un nivel de
conversación – se debe evitar hablar
fuerte, gritar, etc.
6. Los estudiantes no deben tirar objetos
adentro o por las ventanas del autobús.
7. Los estudiantes deben abstenerse de
comer, beber, o de masticar chicle en el
autobús.
8. Los estudiantes deben abstenerse de
tirar basura, pintar “graffiti” u otras
actividades sucias o destructivas tales
como escupir a otros adentro o fuera del
autobús.
9. Los estudiantes no deben fumar o usar
tabaco en el autobús.
10. Los estudiantes deben abstenerse del
uso de lenguaje y/o gestos vulgares u
obscenos.
11. No se permiten en el autobús armas
y/o herramientas u otros objetos los
cuales se puedan usar como armas.
12. No se permite pelear en el autobús o
en las paradas del autobús.
13. No se permite ningún tipo de acoso
(ya sea verbal, sexual o físico, etc.)
14. Students are expected to be
courteous to the driver and other
students.
15. Students are expected to cooperate
with and follow the instructions of the
driver at all times.
16. Students must stay out of the bus's
"Danger Zone" - anywhere within ten (10)
feet of the bus. If you can touch the
bus, you are too close!
17. After exiting the bus, students should
not attempt to retrieve items left on the
bus OR retrieve items that fell under the
bus. "Things" can be replaced . . .
children can't.
18. Always follow the driver's instructions
about crossing the street. Be alert to
traffic, look both ways and always walk in
front of the bus.
19. If your student receives a citation or
notice of unsatisfactory conduct, please
discuss the conduct with your student.
Please sign and return the citation to the
driver the next school day.
14. Se espera que los estudiantes sean
amables tanto con el chofer como con los
otros estudiantes.
15. Se espera que los estudiantes sean
cooperativos y sigan las instrucciones en
todo momento.
16. Los estudiantes deben permanecer
lejos del “Área de Peligro” del autobús—
entre diez (10) pies de distancia del
autobús. Si estas a una distancia que
puedes tocar el autobús entonces, ¡estas
muy cercas!
17. Después de haber bajado del autobús,
los estudiantes no deben intentar
recuperar objetos que hayan olvidado en el
autobús O intentar recuperar objetos que
se hayan caído abajo del autobús.
“Objetos” se pueden reemplazar….pero la
vida de un niño, no
18. Con respecto el cruzar la calle,
siempre deben seguir las instrucciones del
chofer, estar alerta al trafico, mirar en
ambas direcciones y siempre caminar
enfrente del autobús.
19. Si su hijo/hija recibe una infracción o
un aviso debido a una conducta
insatisfactoria, por favor hable con él
/ella sobre su conducta. Al día siguiente,
por favor devuelva la nota firmada al
chofer.
