INSTRUCTIONS
No applicant shall operate, conduct, manage or permit a yard sale upon his premises or other property under his control
more than once each month, and said sale shall not be continued for a period of more than three consecutive days, nor more
than three days in any month, and shall be conducted during daylight hours only.

No person shall place any cards/placards advertising a yard sale on any property other than the property owned by the
person conducting the sale without the consent of the owner. Said signs shall not be posted more than 72 hours (3 days)
prior to the sale and shall be removed within 12 hours after the close of the sale.
It is unlawful for any person who conducts a yard/garage sale to post a notice or advertisement on or within any rightof-way owned by the town, or on any utility pole within the limits of town.
Yard sale permit shall be posted in public view at the site of the sale.
No more than five families shall participate in any yard sale.
Any person found to be in violation of this ordinance shall be fined the sum of $50.00 dollars per violation. Each day
the violation continues shall be considered a separate violation.

5.28.010 Definitions. As used in this chapter, unless the context indicates otherwise, the following words shall have the following
meanings:
A. “Person,” as used here-in, means any corporation, individual, or members of a family residing in a household conducting the sale.
B. “Personal property” shall not include farm equipment, automobiles, lumber, fruit and vegetables being sold and displayed in
commercially zoned areas of the town.
C. “Yard Sale” means retail sale of personal property labeled as such, or any retail sale of personal property conducted in or near a
residence, under cover, partially under cover, or completely outside any building, in the open.
5.28.010 Definiciones. Según lo utilizado en este capítulo, a menos que el contexto indique de otra manera, las palabras siguientes
tendrán los significados siguientes:
Del A. “Persona,” según lo utilizado adjunto, medios cualquier corporación, individua, o miembros de una familia que reside en un
hogar que conduce la venta.
Del B. “Propiedad personal,” no incluirá el equipo de granja, automóviles, madera de construcción, fruta y verdura que es vendida y
exhibida en áreas comercialmente de la ciudad.
Del C. “Venta de Yarda,” significa la venta al por menor de la característica personal etiquetada como tal, o cualquier venta al por
menor de la característica personal conducida adentro o acerca a una residencia, bajo cubierto, parcialmente bajo cubierta, o totalmente
fuera de cualquier edificio, en el abierto.
5.28.030 Frequency and duration of sales. No person shall operate, conduct, manage or permit a yard sale upon his premises or other
property under his control more than once each month, and said sale shall not be continued for a period of more than three consecutive
days, nor more than three days in any month, and shall be conducted during daylight hours only.
5.28.030 Frecuencia y duración de ventas. Ninguna persona funcionara, conducirá, manejara o permitirá la venta de yarda sobre sus
premisas o la otra característica bajo su control más de una vez cada mes, y la venta dicha no será continuada por un periodo de más de
tres días consecutivos, ni de más de tres días en cualquier mes, y será conducida durante horas de luz del día solamente.
5.28.030 Signage. No person shall place any cards or placards advertising a yard sale on any property other than property owned by the
person conducting the sale without the consent of the owner. Said signs shall not be posted more than seventy-two hours prior to the sale
and shall be removed within twelve hours after the close of the sale. It is unlawful for any person who conducts a yard sale or a garage sale
to advertise said sale by posting a notice or advertisement thereof on or within any right-of-way owned by the town, or on any utility pole
with the limits of the town.
5.28.030 Muestras. Ninguna persona pondrá cualesquiera tarjetas o cartel que hace publicidad de una venta de yarda en cualquier

5.28.040 Permits. Any person desiring to hold a yard sale shall obtain a permit from the office of the town clerk, who shall issue the
permit upon the payment of a fee of five dollars, if the police department determines the yard sale at the location applied for will not create
a traffic hazard and the application is in compliance with this chapter. The permit shall be posted in public view at the site of the sale. No
more than five families shall participate in any yard sale.
5.28.040 Permite. Cualquier persona que desea de llevar a cabo una venta de yarda obtendrá un permiso de la oficina del vendedor de
ciudad, que publicara el permiso sobre el pago de un honorario de cinco dólares, si el Departamento de Policía determina la venta de
yarda en la localización solicitada no creara un peligro del trafico y el uso está de acuerdo con este capítulo. El permiso será fijado en la
visión pública en el sitio de la venta. No más de cinco familias participaran en cualquier venta de yarda.
5.28.050 Violation-Penalty. Any person found to be in violation of this chapter shall be fined the sum of not less than fifty dollars per
violation. Each day the violation continues shall be considered a separate violation.
