Hoy en día es el director único del TGLFF. PREMIO MAGUEY ACHIEVEMENT AWARD Giovanni Minerba was born in Aradeo, Lecce, on February 3rd, 1951. He lives in Turin since 1972, where in ’77 he meets Ottavio Mai, who was his life partner for 15 years and with whom he starts his artistic career. In 1982 they make their first work on video, Dalla vita di Piero, followed by other 24 self-made productions. In 1986 they créate the Torino Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (TGLFF), which has reached its 29th edition. In the same year they start a collaboration with RAI TRE, making six docufictions. In 2002, with writer Alejandro Golinelli and in occasion of the 10th anniversary of Ottavio’s death, he films the documentary Ottavio Mario Mai. Ten years later he works on the re-edition of In punta di cuore with Piero Valetto –from the Works of Ottavio-, and writes with Elsi Perino a graphic novel about his life. He is currently the only director of the TGLFF. PREMIO MAGUEY QUEER ICON HORACIO VILLALOBOS Egresado de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México como Licenciado en Derecho, y con una carrera de teatro en Oxford, Inglaterra, Horacio tiene más de 19 años trabajando en televisión, radio, teatro y medios impresos. Ha laborado en televisión en programas como: ECO, Trapitos al Sol, Operación Triunfo, Hoy, Nocturninos y en diversos programas especiales. Durante más de 12 años formó parte del canal Telehit, donde produjo y condujo Válvula de Escape y Desde Gayola. En teatro: Edipo Rey, Los Albañiles, Picasso en el Café de París, y El Principito. Después vinieron los espectáculos: Desde Gayola el Show, Había una vez... Desde Gayola y Telebasura. Recientemente fue parte del elenco de la obra Animal…es y produjo, tradujo y protagonizó la obra Un Corazón Normal. En radio ha trabajado en la XEW, XEX, EXA y para Radio Fórmula.
