*We use them with countable and uncountable nouns in plural.
-There was a lot of water in the bottle – Había mucha agua en la botella
-There are lots of students in this school – Hay muchos alumnos en esta escuela
A LITTLE / LITTLE
*We use them with uncountable nouns.
“A little” has a positive meaning and “little” has a negative meaning.
-There was a little coffee in the pot – Había un poco de café en la cafetera.
-He has little money – Tiene poco dinero
A FEW / FEW
* We use “a few” and “few” with countable in plural.l
“A few” has a positive meaning but “few” has a negative meaning.
-There were a few biscuits in the box- Había unas cantas galletas en la caja.
-Today there are few bears in the world – hoy hay pocos osos en el mundo
HOW MUCH …? / HOW MANY...?
*We use ”how much”with uncountable nouns and “how many” with countable nouns.
- How much wine is there in the bottle?- ¿Cuánto vino hay en la botella?
- How many brothers and sisters have you got? - ¿Cuántos hermanos tienes?
