GRUP DE TREBALL DEL CBUC PER ALS GESTOR DE REFERÈNCIES BIBLIOGRÀFIQUES RefWorks Eliminació Codi de grup. Estat de la qüestió gener 2012‐01‐26 1. Durant el segon semestre de 2011, RefWorks ha anat anunciant a través de la llista de distribució, que volia eliminar els codis de grup amb la finalitat de facilitar l’accés i que l’usuari tingui un codi personal . Hi ha hagut opinions de tot tipus a la llista, però sembla que ja han posat en marxa el procés i aquest passa per eliminar duplicats, és a dir canviar el nom d’usuari dels usuaris que tenien el mateix nom d’usuari en diferents institucions. Per aconseguir aquest objectiu, els usuaris afectats estan rebent missatges orientatius perquè canviïn el seu nom d’usuari i personalitzin el o els seus comptes. 2. Detallem els missatges que els usuaris de les nostres institucions han rebut amb ‐‐

Your new username is [email protected] Why did we make this change? We’re changing the login process to eliminate the need for users to supply a Group Code during login – a feature many of our users have asked for. This means that every user must have a unique username, such as their email address. Visit the RefWorks Update Profile page if you would like to choose a different user name. Can I still use RefWorks if I have graduated? If you have graduated from a school that actively subscribes to RefWorks, you are eligible for our Alumni Program. Detallem el missatge més complet que RefWorks ha inclòs a la llista en resposta a les qüstions que s’hi ha plantejat a rel dels missatges anteriors i que es pot resumir en: en el cas de comptes amb més de 18 mesos sense ús, ells mateixos canviaran el login que serà el nom del correu electrònic si és possible. We are not making any changes to the number of accounts that you can have, or removing any user accounts. We just want to make sure that each account has a unique Login Name. Each account will still get it's own Login Name and you will be able to switch between them as before. We recommend using your email address for account names because most of our users only have one account. You can still use any name that you wish. For accounts that have not been used in 18 months or more, we are changing the Login Name to match the email address on file when that was a unique name. If you have an older, unused account then your email address may already have been assigned as a Login Name. If you no longer need that account, feel free to remove it and reuse the username. Or, simply choose a new Login Name for any recent accounts that need to change. 4. A data 26 de gener es fa un missatge al Cédric Roland demanant un informe sobre aquesta i d’altres qüestions : Hola Cédric, Nos ponemos en contacto contigo para hacer algunas averiguaciones respecto a la situación actual de la nueva interfície y al proceso de eliminación del código de grupo. Los miembros del grupo estan bastante intranquilos básicamente por dos razones (que por otra parte se estan exponiendo también en la lista internacional). Una es la lentitud del funcionamiento de RW 2.0 que perjudica tanto las sesiones de formación como las de trabajo. La otra es que alguna de las funcionalidades de la versión clásica todavía no funciona bién en la 2.0, por ejemplo añadir a 'favoritos' los nuevos formatos de salida creados. Se soluciona haciendo los cambios en la versión clásica y volviendo después a la 2.0. Òbviamente, cuando esta posibilidad no exista, el tema debería estar resuelto. Las dos cosas han sido reportadas al servicio técnico pero se nos ha contestado que estan trabajando en ello, en el caso de la lentitud. El segundo tema está pendiente de respuesta. ¿Serías tan amable de hacernos un pequeño reporte de cómo estan las cosas actualmente? Por otra parte, nuestros usuarios han empezado a recibir dos tipos diferentes de correos electrónicos, (los encontrarás al final de este mensaje), referentes a la eliminación del código de grupo.
