“No se Aflijan Por Nada…” Philippians 4:6-9
To the degree we focus on ourselves, the anxiety and
stress increases to the degree we focus on the Lord, trusting in Him, we are at peace. For this reason we continually say “Rest in Peace” but rather we are to live in the freedom of the children of God sharing the one Peace of the
Lord.
En la medida en que nos enfocamos en nosotros mismos, la
ansiedad y estrés aumenta hasta el grado en que nos enfocamos en el Señor, confiando en Él, estamos en paz. Por esta
razón, estamos continuamente diciendo "Descanse en Paz",
sino más bien hemos de vivir en la libertad de los hijos de
Dios compartiendo la Paz del Señor.
The violence in our society is directly due to the children
of God focusing on themselves in delusions of power and
control. How deep must the delusion of power be, for a
person to decapitate an innocent unknown person, and
even make a video of the crime! This is what Jesus explains in the parable in today’s Gospel. They said “This is
the heir (the son of the owner of the vineyard). Come, let’s
kill him and acquire his inheritance. :Mt. 21: 33-43. All
power is from God, all goodness is from Him. The Lord
gives us all we need each day, and infinitely more. We
need to open our eyes and ears and recognize the wonders
of God and give him thanks. We need to die to the delusions of power and control so as to live in His Peace, now
and forever. GK
La violencia en nuestra sociedad se debe directamente a que
los hijos de Dios se enfocan en sí mismos en delirios de poder y control. ¿Qué profunda ha de ser la ilusión del poder,
para que una persona decapite a una persona desconocida
inocente, e incluso hacer un video del crimen! Esto es lo que
Jesús explica en la parábola del Evangelio de hoy. Ellos dijeron "Este es el heredero (el hijo del dueño de la viña). Vengan, vamos a matarlo y adquiramos su herencia (Mt. 21: 3343) Todo el poder viene de Dios, todo bondad es de él. El

English Children’s Choir
Our Parish is excited to announce the opening of a new
English Children’s Choir! All Children with the ability to
read and write and up to 11 years old are eligible to join.
Along with learning hymns for Mass, rehearsals will also
include rudiments on signing, theory and liturgy. Rehearsals will be on Fridays from 6:30PM-7:30PM beginning

On October 7, 1571 , the naval battle of Lepanto
took place, in which the Christians defeated the
Turks. The Christians knew that if they lost this
battle, their religion could be in danger and therefore relied on the help of God through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin. Pope Pius V called on
Christians to pray the rosary for the fleet.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Process prepares non-baptized persons for the reception of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist (First Communion). Baptized persons seeking to come into Full
Communion with the Roman Catholic
Church through Confirmation and/or Eucharist may also attend these sessions. The
meetings take place in the Cenacle on the
second floor of the Parish Center on Sunday
mornings from 8:30 a.m. until noon. October Sessions will meet on October 5, 19 and 26. There
will be No Session on October 12 weekend due to
Columbus Holiday weekend.

4:00 in the afternoon and ends with the 7:00
PM Mass.
In the Redahan Hall there will be typical
Peruvian Food and Peruvian articles. Please
stop by and enjoy delicious Peruvian dishes.
For those attending the 5:00 PM Mass, there
should be about 30 parking spaces in the two
parking lots on both sides of the Parish Center.

Health Promoters~Reminder!
I am most happy to invite you to be a parish “Health Promoter” . This will be a new ministry dedicated to the whole health
of all our brothers and sisters. At present time the parish has about 20 groups that promote a multitude a ways of how improve one’s health.
We are now coordinating with El Centro de San Martin, St. Margaret Center and the County Department of Mental
Health in the development and formation of this new and vital ministry. A “Health Promoter” will receive about 12 three
hour classes, and if selected to serve, will be asked to make a commitment to serve for 3 years.
During those three years of service, the ‘Health Promoter” would be asked to attend 4 development sessions a year. Please
consider being a “Health Promoter”. We need about 60 volunteers—one could be you. I hope that each ministry and group
would have at least three volunteers serving in this ministry .
Please call the Parish Office or E-mail us with the necessary information. If you have any questions, please call Ricco
Ramirez in the parish Youth Office at (310) 973-7389 ext. 113. The program will hopefully begin in October .
On October 11th, in the Guadalupe Hall, we will have the Orientation Meeting from 1:30pm-5:00pm for this new
