Appointment of Interim External Chair to PAHO's
Board of Appeal
The Director is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Wolf with immediate effect as the
new interim external Chairperson of the PAHO Board of Appeal. Mr. Wolf will replace Mr. Victor
Rodriguez, the former Chairperson of the Board of Appeal.
Mr. Wolf holds an undergraduate degree from Cornell University and a Juris Doctorate from New York
University School of Law.
Mr. Wolf is an attorney licensed to practice law in New York and the District of Columbia. He is also an
arbitrator, mediator and member of the National Academy of Arbitrators. Mr. Wolf has extensive
experience working on labor and employment matters in the public and private sectors. Mr. Wolf also
worked in the Office of Special Investigations of the United States Department of Justice, eventually
serving as the Deputy Director for Litigation.
Mr. Wolf is currently the external chair of the Grievance Committee for the International Monetary
Fund in Washington D.C., and he is also a member of the Mediation Panel for the United States
Congress Office of Compliance.

Nombramiento del Presidente Interino Externo a la Junta de Apelación de la OPS
La Directora se complace en anunciar el nombramiento del señor Michael Wolf como el nuevo
presidente externo interino de la Junta de Apelación de la OPS, con efecto inmediato. El señor Wolf
reemplazará al señor Victor Rodriguez, anterior Presidente Externo de la Junta de Apelación.
El señor Wolf posee un pregrado de Cornell University y un Juris Doctorate de la Facultad de Derecho
de la Universidad de Nueva York.
El señor Wolf es abogado con licencias para ejercer el derecho en Nueva York y el Distrito de
Columbia. Además es árbitro, mediador y miembro de la Academia Nacional de Árbitros. El señor
Wolf tiene vasta experiencia trabajando en asuntos laborales en los sectores público y privado. El señor
Wolf también trabajó en la Oficina de las Investigaciones Especiales del Departamento de Justicia de los
Estados Unidos, en calidad de Director Adjunto para Litigios.
Actualmente, el señor Wolf es el presidente externo del Comité de Quejas del Fondo Monetario
Internacional en Washington, D.C., y es también miembro del Panel de Mediación de la Oficina del
Cumplimiento del Congreso de los Estados Unidos.
