To start with, please let me introduce myself: I am Maj. José Risco from the Spanish Army, posted at the SP
Academia General Militar (AGM) in Zaragoza, center where the Spanish army Officers are educated, and
responsible for Cadets’ International Exchanges and ISoDoMA 2015’s POC.
I would like to inform you that the Academia General Militar (AGM) is pleased to announce that the 4 th
ISoDoMA Congress will be held at the AGM in Zaragoza (Spain) between 20th and 22nd May, 2015.
ISoDoMA is an international meeting in which representatives from military academies around the world
participate. The aim is to analyze and discuss issues of common interest related to cadet training processes
while providing the opportunity to strengthen ties and joint efforts.
Since the first meeting in 2007, the ISoDoMA´s Symposium has contributed to promote the multinational
cadets’ education and training by improving cooperative exchanging programs, sharing knowledge
acquisition and debating opinions with regard to current military academic development.
For this event, the AGM’ Commandant will cordially invite your Academy Commandant as well as your
Officers, Professors and Schoolmasters to actively attend, present conferences and participate in the
international sessions, in English. If you have lecturers or experts in the proposed subject, please let me
know as soon as possible to contact them initially and update Director and Academy basis data to arrange
invitation.
This year’s main topic will be:
“Comprehensive Education for Officers to Face New Security Challenges”
As for the subtopics they will be developed in the following panels:
“Educational Challenges Facing New Security Threats” (PANEL 1)
“Technical, Scientific and Humanistic Expertise: A Study of Different Models” (PANEL 2)
“Education in Values and Leadership as the Basis for Quality Officership” (PANEL 3)
“New Technologies Applied to the Academic Scope” (PANEL 4)
If you are the person in charge of dealing with the aforementioned task, I will send you more information
about the Symposium. However, if that is not the case, I respectfully ask you to inform to whom I should
contact to provide your Academy with a better service.
