My name is Rosa María Aguirre and I was born in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.
I’ ve lived my whole life there, a beautiful city, Green Capital in 2012. You can check it wiht my D.N.I. :

I was a disciplined pupil in the “ Sacred Heart” college in Vitoria and also in the “Financial and Business
School” where i had my first contact with my future activity.
I have also studied french in the “Lenguage School” of Vitoria.
I started to work in my father’s familiar factory “Nicasio Aguirre”. My fisrt job; office of secretary for ten
years aprox. I could put in practise all my knowlege and i could develope my current.
In 1973, my husband and me started a new business project “Feragui Electricity”. That company had got
a lot of changes and it become in our actual enterprise “Comercial Mayvan” in 1984. We try to supply
our costumer whith the best electrical cables. We are specializing in that subject.
I am the financial manager of my own company currently.

joined Lucent Technologies where she moved to Netherlands to an European wide position. There, she
also held senior positions in Global Crossing and Morse Integrated Systems.

in each country!

Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers UK (1986).
Executive/managerial positions held in London and Madrid include banks & MNCs such as RBS, UBS,
Lloyds, PwC, Deloitte, Amadeus, B.A.T & G.E.
Teaching has always been an important ongoing activity for Joanna (CUNEF, Madrid Chamber of
Commerce, UE projects). Recently awarded with an International Campus of Excellence grant as a visiting
lecturer for a new bilingual business degree itinerary at Oviedo University, she imparted the somewhat
controversial subject “The Economics of Spain and the European Union”! Currently she collaborates with
UNIOVI in a CLIL/ bilingual teaching project.
Other activities include translation & revision work (economics, finance) & courses either as a speaker or
participant. She is considering a possible stay at a Chinese University in 2014.
Joanna is bilingual in English and Spanish, speaks fluent French and starter mandarin. Amongst her many
hobbies she enjoys innovative cooking and is preparing herself for Masterchef!

María Paula Calvo

María Paula has over 30 years of experience in the financial services and banking industry, including local and
international assignments.
She started her career in Argentina at a brokerage house that was later granted a banking license. In 1995
she joined Citi, at the Internal Audit unit with regional scope covering Latin America. In 2003 she moved to
Citi’s Consumer Finance franchise in Mexico. She performed as: financial analyst, treasurer, trader, mutual
funds manager, internal auditor and credit officer. During 2002 she developed free-lance consulting projects
in Argentina and Italy. More recently she officed as Control and Compliance Head, CAO and Operations and
Technology Director. She was also a member of the Regulatory Risk and Audit Committees as well as member of
the Board. At present, María Paula is the Head of Integration for Scotiabank Group at Mexico’s Consumer and
Micro-Finance entity. She has a permanent seat at the Local and Executive Steering Committees and oversees
the effective inclusion of the company in to the new group´s policies, culture and standards. She supports
Operations, Technology and Enterprise Risk Management integration activities .
María Paula’s job was awarded as one of “Mexico´s 50 most innovative companies” in 2011, by Netmedia. She
was also recognized as a “Leader of Distinction” by Citifinancial International in 2007.
She is a strong advocate for diversity. As such, she’s been a founder member of the Citi´s Women Council for
Mexico; and a member of the Management Committee of AMME (Asociación Mexicana de Mujeres Ejecutivas)
María Paula is a CPA from Buenos Aires University, Argentina, and holds an M.B.A. from the Edinburgh School of
Business, UK. She was also certified through the CEO´s Management Program at Kellogg School of Management,
US.
She is happily married to Jose Luis and they have two sons: Nicolas and Lucas.

Mª Eugenia nowadays manages the family business EAMON, S.A, that being a family business takes the
helm when his father dies five years ago.
EAMON, was founded 25 years ago by a businessmen’s family that they were taking from the year 1925
working in transport of goods, expanding 25 years ago into the sector of the construction.
Mª Eugenia has a solid formation in business management and in his values, as the sustainable development, the equality or the social responsibility of the companies. M ª Eugenia nowadays is a member of
the association AED, in whom it takes part in diverse managerial forums and applies the more modern
technologies of management that they allow to support and to grow at this moment in the company.

Margarita de Cos is the Major Donors Manager for WWF Spain (World Wildlife Fund) since 2005.
Previously she worked in the private sector, being member of the Board of Directors of several Spanish
companies, and held different executive positions such as Director and General Manager of Fábrica
Española de Confecciones, S.A. (manufacture of military uniforms), Manager of energy developments in
FECSA (electrical company of Cataluña), Manager of corporate and foreign investment in Bufete Soler
Padró (Law offices) and Managing Director of INAC, S.A (Clinical laboratory firm).
At present she remains as Director of Rainsoft SL ( IT & Software development).
She is member of several management Associations (AED/CEDE, EPWN, IC-A, IWF) and she is the Chair
for GSW Spain and member of the international Planning Committee of the Global Summit of Women.
Ms. De Cos was born in León, Spain (1951), is married and has 2 children and 5 grandchildren. Ms de Cos
is “Licenciada” in Political Sciences (Madrid) and has a Master in Economics ( M.A.) (Ottawa, Canada)

Secondary schools for 15 years. And also I was lecturer at the Garcilazo de la Vega University in Lima. I’ve
finished a master at the Complutense University in Madrid – Spain.
I’ve lived in Madrid since 1988. Here I worked for American company in Marketing and micro-nutrition.
Currently, I have my own company “Net World Servicios Informaticos” for computer services and
maintenance.
One of my favourite hobbies is jewellery design of Peruvian silver.

I went to school in Gijon, while I was living with my grandparents.
My life at University was in Madrid, where I studied Pharmacist, staying at a university college where I
knew a lot of friends who were studying other careers.
I also studied a Master in Pharmaceutical Attention at Valencia University, and a practical
one in Asthma and “EPOC” attention, photoprotection, and other monographic training.
I am the owner of a Pharmacy located in the historical centre of Denia, and I have four (4)
employees. I have attended continued learning courses on people management for nine years.
Spanish is my mother tongue, I can now speak also Valencian, and can manage with English.
I am married to a merchant navy officer, we have a son (15 years old).
We now live in Denia, (Alicante), Spain.

the last 15 years. As responsible of all legal matters of both companies, she was in charge of all the corporate
projects as IPOs, M&A, investors relations and market authority relations, etc. As Legal Department Director,
she managed all the international negotiations, agreements related to the business and also employment
contracts, intellectual property etc.
Currently she owns a Legal consulting firm, Layomba (Spain and Colombia), and is partner at Women In

She works with European companies to open up business in Latinamerica, and she also is the representative for

swimming pools. Montserrat Quintana is for 20 years designing and creating Water spaces. During this
period she has build around 200 swimming pools in Spain.
Since 2010 she has incorporated landscapes, evolving from a hobby to a professional field.
Water has been her environment since she was very young, as she was awarded with the Spanish
championship in 100 meters breaststroke. Elite sports forges a special discipline and responsibility
character. This helps in the enterprise, and specially when the environment turns down. She represented
Spain in International Competitions.
After working for the family business, in the metallurgy industry , she came back to the swimming pools
again. At that stage she was managing Gilliam Diafilter Española, SA for Catalonia.
