Health of the Sick
Virgin, most holy, Mother of the Word Incarnate, treasurer of graces, and Refuge of sinners. I fly to Your motherly affection with lively
faith, and I beg of you the grace ever to do the will of God. Into Your most holy hands I commit the keeping of my heart asking You for
health of soul and body, in the certain hope that You, my most loving Mother, will hear my prayer. Into the bosom of your tender mercy,
this day, and every day of my life, and most especially at the hour of my death, I commend my soul and body. To You I entrust all my
hopes and consolations, all my trials and miseries, my life and the end of my life, that all my actions may be ordered and disposed according to the will of your Devine Son. Amen

Prayer of the Faithful
“We are asked to give thanks to our heavenly Father for the many gifts He provides us in our lives,
recognizing that His greatest gift is his unconditional love for us. Let us give Him glory and express
our gratitude for His gifts to us through our generous contributions to the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal. We pray to the Lord.”
Stewardship is much more than a few St. Paul, church related activities. It’s making a choice, one
small step at a time, to acknowledge our dependence on God for all we have and all we are. As a
steward at St. Paul’s, we recognize that everything we have and everything we love is only on loan
from God. We use our time, talent and treasure gifts from God to serve others for His Glory. It is in
giving, after all, that we receive.
If you are interested in joining St. Paul’s Stewardship Council, please call Darrel Chaney at 706-878
-0016 or email him at [email protected]. Your Life at St. Paul’s Matters!

and to make items to benefit our church family.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
This is a good time of year to remember our inclement weather policy. If schools in White County
are closed, or close early, SOR is also closed that day. Please use your own judgment about the
roads in the county where you live. If SOR is open, but roads in your area are bad, please stay
home. We will post closings on the home page of the website. Thank you and safe driving this winter!
Parents of Confirmation Students
There will be an important meeting for parents of confirmation students on Wednesday, January 27
at 7:30 pm in the parish hall. We will be discussing information on your child’s weekend retreat at
Covecrest in March. There are forms and permission slips to share. Please make every effort to attend this important meeting; only one parent or guardian is required.
First Communion Prep Classes Forming
All children preparing for First Holy Communion this spring will be attending special classes which
focus on this sacrament, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation (confession). They will be using special books, and those older than 2 nd grade will have a different teacher. Please continue to bring
your child every week as they begin this special instruction.
*Correction to First Communion Mass Date*
As our first communion class has 22 children, we will be able to have one mass for the entire class,
instead of two. Our bi-lingual mass will be 10:00 am on Saturday, April 30. Please make note of this
change on your calendar.
Youth Group
Our senior youth group continues to thrive! Thanks to everyone who supported our group with a purchase of a Christmas ornament. We were able to raise $400 toward our activities. We will be discussing our upcoming ski trip in February! If you have received the Sacrament of Confirmation, you
are invited to join our group for fun, fellowship and spiritual development. We meet every Wednesday at 6:30 pm in the parish hall.

News from Father Fabio
Thanksgiving
I want to express my sincere thanks to all those who were present, in one way or another, during the
celebrations of December. May God and the Virgin Mary fill you with blessings for your prayers and
gifts for both the parish and for your humble servant.
Parish Plan
Last Saturday we had the first meeting of the parish planning discussion in order to make a parish
project designed for five years. Although we counted the presence of approximately forty persons
from our community, I would have liked to have seen more people, so that the parish plan is not
from a few, but from all. Later we will tell you about our next meeting. We want to see the parish
grow in the spiritual, pastoral, social, and intellectual fields and also around the physical part, i.e. its
structure. How would you like to see the Parish of St. Paul in five years? Come and be a part of the
parish plan, take the opportunity to do something for yourself, for others and especially for God. I
hope you will join us.
New Members of the Parish
I take this opportunity to give the warmest welcome to the new members of the parish. I am delighted that you put your trust in St. Paul’s. I hope that together we can walk and grow as a family in
Christ Jesus. If there is anything I can do for you, do not hesitate to let me know.
Reflection
Today we are celebrating the second Sunday in Ordinary Time. I do not know if you remember that
in the previous two homilies I spoke of the three epiphanies; well, today we have the third. On the
first one we saw the visit of the Magi to Jesus; on the second, the baptism of the Lord; and on the
third, the wedding at Cana of Galilee, where Jesus' first miracle takes place, that is, where the public
life of Jesus begins.
Question: For you, what was the greatest miracle you have received from God?
May God bless you and remember you are important to me.
Fr. Fabio
parroquial pensado a cinco años.
Padre Fabio
