As the 2016-2017 school year approaches, there are some important items that require your
attention prior to the start of the school year.
Online Returning Student Data Verification
Starting this year, parents must access the Infosnap online forms through the PowerSchool Parent
Portal. At least one parent is required to create a PowerSchool Parent account. If you have multiple
children in Manassas Park City Schools, only one parent account is necessary. If you have not
created a PowerSchool parent account, directions are attached to this letter. The online forms
contain demographic and emergency information you entered last year. You must verify the
information is accurate or update any information that has changed. Parents will also electronically
sign annual agreement forms for school district policies. The completion of this process is
required for all returning students. The online forms are now open. Please complete by August
3, 2016.
MPMS and MPHS Laptop/Tablet Deployment
Deployment will occur Manassas Park Middle School. Multiple dates will be offered for the laptop
deployment prior to the start of the school year. Please keep in mind, there are over 1,800 students
in grades 6-12 who will be receiving laptops/tablets during deployment. During peak hours of
deployment, please expect a higher volume of families. As a requirement to receiving a laptop,
parents of returning students must complete the Infosnap Returning Student Data Verification.
Completing these forms prior to picking up your child’s laptop will help expedite the laptop
deployment process. There will be computers available during the deployment dates to complete
this process if needed. Please note: Cash and checks (payable to MPCS) will be the only forms
of payment accepted for the $50 Technology Fee.
For students at MPES in grade 5, tablet deployment is scheduled for August 18, 2016.

Con la aproximacione del año escolar 2016-2017, hay algunos elementos importantes que requieren su
atención antes del inicio del año escolar.
Verificación en Línea de Datos de Estudiantes Volviendo a la Escuela
A partir de este año, los padres deben tener acceso a los formularios en línea InfoSnap a través del Portal de
Padres de PowerSchool. Se requiere al menos uno de los padres para crear una cuenta de “Padres
PowerSchool”. Si tiene varios hijos en las escuelas de la Ciudad de Manassas Park, sólo una cuenta es
necesario. Si no ha creado una cuenta de “Padres PowerSchool”, direcciones se adjuntan a la presente. Los
formularios en línea contienen la información demográfica y de emergencia que entraron el año pasado.
Debe verificar que la información sea exacta o actualizar cualquier información que ha cambiado. Los padres
también firmarán electrónicamente formularios de acuerdo anuales para las políticas del distrito escolar. Este
proceso es obligatorio para todos los estudiantes que regresan a las escuelas. Los formularios en línea ya

MPMS y MPHS Computadora portátil / Despliegue de la tableta
El despliegue ocurrirá en la Manassas Park Middle School. Varias fechas se ofrecerán para el despliegue de
la computadora portátil antes del inicio del año escolar. Por favor, tenga en cuenta, hay más de 1.800
estudiantes en los grados 6-12 que recibirán las computadoras portátiles / tabletas durante el despliegue.
Durante las horas pico de la implementación, por favor, espere un mayor volumen de familias. Como

de 2016.
