__________Monday: This week in Kindergarten we will be learning about the letter “Gg”, which makes
the sound like in gum and garden and the letter “Ff”, which makes the sound like in fox and fish. Please
encourage your child to bring in an item that begins with these letters and sounds on Tuesday. Please
label each small item. Have your child think of 5 words that begin with “Gg” and “Ff”, draw and write
the words on another sheet of paper.
__________Lunes: Esta semana en kinder vamos a aprender sobre las letras “Gg” que hace el sonido de
las palabras “gato” y “gordo” y “Ff”, la cual hace el sonido de las palabras “foto” y “flaco.” Por favor
anime a su hijo/a a traer una cosa que comience con las letras y los sonidos para el martes. Por favor
escriba cada cosa. Haga que su hijo/a piense en 5 palabras que comienzan con la letra “Gg” y “Ff” y
dibujelas en una hoja separada.
__________Tuesday: This week we will be reviewing the numerals 0-9. Have your child make sets using
buttons, beans, noodles, etc…….to match each numeral on the attached paper. Then take the objects
off and draw the correct number of objects for each numeral. Trace over and write each numeral too.
Reminder, it is important that the children experience the making of the sets with materials. Challenge:
After completing the activity, have your child make sets for the numerals 1-5. Ask them which two
groups when put together would match the group with 4. Are there any others? Then do 5…
__________Martes: Esta semana estamos con los numerous 0-9. Haga que su niño ponga cosas en
grupos de los números usando cositas como botones, frijoles, etc. En la tarea, haga que su niño apunte
los números también. Este concepto le enseña al niño como entender cuántas cosas toman para hacer
nueve o diez. Para los valientes: Haga que su niño haga grupos de uno a cinco. Después de tener los
