Solemnity if the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus
Chirsti) In this Jubilee Y ear of Mercy, the Lectionary’s Year of
Luke presents a Gospel in which Jesus, who was welcomed,
taught, healed and shown God’s mercy to the multitude, refuses
the Twelve’s demand to dismiss the crowd before him
instead, he says, “Give them some food yourselves” (Luke
9:13). In Jesus’ hands, what little the Twelve had feeds
five thousand (“men” and probably as many women
and children), leaving twelve baskets so the Twelve
can continue Jesus’ ministry of mercy. Pope Francis
has asked how we celebrate and live the Eucharist.
Do we keep it ourselves? Or do we “commune” not
only with Jesus but with others, our limited resources can go a long way. Recognizing Jesus in the
Eucharist demands that we recognizing Jesus also in the
hungry crowd. Adoring Jesus present in the Eucharist
requires that we serve Jesus present in our neighbor.

En este Año Jubilar de la Misericordia coincide con la lectura dominical
del Evangelio de Lucas, este domingo el Evangelio presenta a Jesús recibiendo, ensenando, sanado y mostrando la misericordia de Dios a la multitud y, también rechazando la solicitud de los Doce de despedir a la multitud. Al contrario, el dice “denles ustedes de comer” (Lucas 9:13). En
las manos de Jesús, lo poco que tienen los Doce alimenta a cinco
mil hombres (sin contar mujeres ni niños) y lo con lo que sobro
se llenaron doce canastos para que los Doce pudieran continuar el ministerio de misericordia de Jesús. El Papa Francisco nos ha preguntado como nosotros podemos celebrar y
vivir la Eucaristía. ?nos lo guardamos para nosotros mismos? ?O “comulgamos” no solo con Jesús sino con la multitud que Jesús nos da para apreciar? Confiados a Jesús y
compartidos con otros, nuestros recursos pueden durar
mucho tiempo. Reconocer a Jesús en la Eucaristía exige

Memorial Day Prayer
Heavenly Father, Today we remember
and pay tribute to the men and women
of the Armed Services who have died
in the defense of our nation; from the
days of the Revolution to these days in
Iraq and Afghanistan. They paid the
ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we hold so dear.
In the words of Sacred Scripture we hear, "There is no greater love then this, than to lay down one's life for a friend." It is
only by your grace and the love they have for you and this
nation that gave them the strength to lay down their lives.
We beseech you O Lord, to receive these servants of peace
into your loving embrace and grant them the eternal peace
that surpasses all understanding.
We also remember the family members of these great heroes.
They too suffer a great and painful sacrifice. Bestow upon
them the blessings of your consolation and peace. May you
ease their sadness as they continue on the road to serenity and
hope.
To you we offer this prayer knowing you fulfill the heart's
desire of those who seek you with noble intentions. May our
prayer for true and lasting peace be answered in accordance
to your will and for the good of your sons and daughters.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, the King of Peace.

Praise is just as important as providing food and shelter for a
child. Praise is an important aspect of raising a confident child.
When you praise a child, not only do you raise their self-esteem
and self-concept but you increase their overall self-worth. One
thing you can do is focus on the child and describe what you see.

Baptismal Class
The exciting and meaningful experience of Baptism
strengthens our families and parish community with
God. Whether baptized as a baby or an adult, Parents
and Godparents need to attend a Baptismal class before baptizing his or her child. Baptismal classes are scheduled
the last Tuesdays of each month. The next scheduled baptismal
class is Tuesday May 31, at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall, please
arrive on time.

Clases Bautismales
La experiencia emocionante y significativa
del Bautismo fortalece nuestras familias y
de la comunidad parroquial con Dios. Ya
sea bautizado cuando era un bebé o un adulto, el
Bautismo es el primer paso en un viaje de
por vida con Dios. Los padres y padrinos deben asistir a
una clase de bautismo antes de bautizar a su hijo o hija.
Clases bautismales se han programado el último martes
de cada mes. La próxima clase bautismal programada el

aumenta su autovaloración en general. Una cosa que se puede
hacer es enfocarse en el niño y describir lo que ve. Por ejemplo, usted puede decir, “Tú eres tan paciente. Eso significa

Introducion a la Liturgia del Día:
El día de hoy nos da la oportunidad de reflexionar acerca de
nuestra celebración de la Eucaristía de una manera en que tal
vez no tengamos tiempo de hacerlo el Jueves Santo. Esta acción el central para nosotros los cristianos, puesto que nos define como tales y construiré a la Iglesia como Cuerpo de Cristo
en el mundo a fin de que podamos continuar la misión de Jesús
en la tierra. Enteremos en esta celebración dando alabanzas y
gracias a Dios por este gran don.
