The ITF Development Department is pleased to welcome you to this special issue of its ITF
Monthly E-mail Newsletter.
In an effort to keep you informed and updated on ITF coaching matters worldwide, in this issue of
the newsletter you will find:
* Position opening: ITF Development Officer for Central America and the Caribbean
--------------------------------------ITF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER FOR CENTRAL AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN
Following the resignation of Gustavo Grannitto as Development Officer for Central America and
the Caribbean effective end of July 2005, the ITF now have an opening for this position. The role
involves assisting the member nations of the ITF in the region and the regional association
COTECC to further develop tennis in the region including working with them in the areas of junior
development/player training,coaches education, grass roots programmes,entry level professional
events and junior competition.The key skills for the applicant should include the following:
* Should be fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken)
* Good knowledge of the region
* Good knowledge and understanding of tennis in the region
* Fully Qualified tennis coach (minimum ITF level 2 or equivalent)
* Good administrative skills
* Computer literate (Microsoft word, excel, Outlook Express (e-mail), internet etc)
* Good communication and presentation skills
* Ability to take initiative
* Good diplomatic skills
* Dedication
* Enthusiastic and motivated showing at all times an equally positive attitude towards all areas of
development
* Ability to conduct/oversee tennis events/tournaments
* Readiness to travel up to 30 weeks per year

OFICIAL DE DESARROLLO DE LA ITF PARA CENTRO AMÉRICA Y EL CARIBE
Tras la dimisión de Gustavo Grannitto como Oficial de Desarrollo para Centro América and the
Caribbean que se hará efectiva a finales de Julio de 2005, la ITF ha abierto el proceso de
selección de aspirantes a ocupar dicho puesto de trabajo. El puesto consiste en la asistencia a
las naciones miembros de la ITF de la región y a la asociación regional COTECC para
desarrollar el tenis en la región incluyendo el trabajo conjunto en las áreas de desarrollo de
juniors, entrenamiento de jugadores, formación de entrenadores, programas de tenis de base,
eventos profesionales y competiciones juniors.Las habilidades clave que debe poseer el
aplicante han de incluir las siguientes:
•
Dominio fluido del inglés y del español (hablado y escrito).
•
Buen conocimiento de la región.
•
Buen conocimiento y comprensión del tenis en la región.
•
Entrenador de tenis certificado (mínimo nivel 2 ITF o equivalente).
•
Buenas habilidades administrativas.
•
Conocimientos de computación (Microsoft word, excel, Outlook Express (e-mail), internet
etc).
•
Buenas habilidades de comunicación y presentación.
•
Habilidad para tomar la iniciativa.
•
Buenas habilidades diplomáticas.
•
Dedicación.
•
Entusiasmo y motivación mostrando en todo momento una actitud positiva hacia todas las
áreas de desarrollo.
•
Habilidad para organizar y supervisar torneos de tenis.
•
Disponibilidad para viajar hasta 30 semanas al año.
