You will work with experts in the field to:
•
Define language transfer and it benefits for second language learners.
•
Learn how we all are teachers of language across the content areas.
•
Determine how language transfer occurs in the classroom.
•
Analyze how languages coexist in the classroom.
•
Organize your instruction to support the transfer of linguistic skills between languages.
•
Identify how to develop teaching-specific Spanish competences across all content areas, K-12.
•
Learn how to integrate science and technology in your secondary dual immersion program.
•
Identify the critical role that district and site administrators play in supporting high levels of
implementation of dual immersion instructional programs.

• Definir la transferencia entre lenguajes y los benficios para aprendices del lenguaje
como segundo idioma.
• Aprender cómo todos nostotros somos maestros de lenguaje a través del contenido.
• Determinar cómo la transferencia de lenguaje ocurre en el aula.
• Analizar cómo los lenguajes coexisten en el aula.
• Organizar su instrucción para apoyar la transferencia de destrezas lingüísticas entre
los lenguajes.
• Identificar cómo desarrollar competencias españolas específicos de enseñanza en
todas las áreas del contenido, K-12.
• Identificar el papel fundamental de los administradores de distrito y sitio en apoyar
altos niveles de implementación de programas de doble inmersión.
